Aren't the protomen also going to be there?
-
I use a Madcatz Tournament Edition Fightstick for pretty much all my emulation excepting things that require two analogs.
For everything else a wired 360 controller works fine, people bitch about the dpad but that doesn't affect me since I use an arcade stick for anything that uses dpad anyway.
PS: NES Megaman games are infinitely more fun on arcade stick imo, same with really anything prior to psx.

As long as I can get off of work I'm game.
Edit: actually I'm going to have to get back to you on that, might have some scheduling conflicts.

guys guys you're missing the big picture here
zangief vs kuma
Rival match in story mode?
-
Assuming I find a way to get there I should be free.

Also, could someone give me a decent answer as to why there's a separate division for women for a video game tourney?
Every girl in that tournament was also in the main SSF4 tourney, the gals tournament is just to give them a bit more exposure and maybe get more female contestants next year.

i'd love to play some CS:S, i think the problem is that no one plays because no one is playing
We've tried having weekly events but really the only way this is going to work is if the css players help evangelize the server, could easily enough make regular play nights if people are willing to spread the word.

That was more because no one knew you were going to and everyone had been discussing it on irc. Fault there lies with us because we conveniently forgot to tell you the plan. But isn't this compromise fine? One server still has limits and both groups can play without overlap and can move on already.
-
Why even argue about it, there are class restrictions in place on red so if you want to play with them on it's really simple to you know, just go to red. Better yet anyone else playing on red is probably like-minded so you don't even have to hear whining over limits.

speaking of killing bears, did anyone ever mention vimk and chili becoming admins?
because that was weeks ago
and I totally forgot to post it.
Haha, I've been letting them find out through surprise kicks/bans.

The only person I saw last night consistently using the !votemenu command yesterday was Mr. Hilter. He was using it on Turbine using teamchat. I think he was using teamchat to hide it from Vimk. I have listed his Steam page below.
Steam Page:
I banned him earlier.

I've been raging for the last few days because I'll literally unload half a clip into someone's head and they'll kill me in 1 shot with minimal damage to them. I found out it's because the bandwidth is being taken here, causing my latency to lie about being low while I seem to just be standing there like a sitting duck.
Which makes the handful of headshots I pulled off all the more impressive
Well there's your problem right there 9_9, anything more than 3-5 shot bursts aren't going to hit a damn thing what do you think this is call of duty haha.

If you're curious as to how it'll handle european connections ping 206.217.135.93 in command prompt.

All I know is I die really fast. I'm guessing my kamikaze habits from TF2 and UT are going to be problematic.
Generally you just need to learn to quick headshot, camp corners and use any sniper rifle and the famas/m4a.

If anything has a chance of being played, it's counterstrike, considering everyone and their dog owns it.

I'm in but you already know that

Well, either I was right or we're both wrong on how the law works. Reassuring, all the same - here's hoping the ISOs I have are legal, since it really, REALLY sucks trying to run the CDs on my comp (they work, but they tend to skip on there, unfortunately, due to computer limitations).
The only legal way to emulate is to rip absolutely everything yourself, technically.

Did waltz seriously just delete his post? Haha
The hurr hurr one button joke is only really used by people who don't know enough about osx to legitimately dislike it.

Don't know when you last checked but steam client is already webkit now. And the real answer to steam on linux? It's still a very tiny demographic so maybe once they're done milking osx. Here is my take on that situation:Per a conversation I had in-game with a few of the guys on BLU last night, I'll say that if Valve truly WANTED to make a Linux client as well as any of its games available for those who prefer to use Linux (or, via emulation setups, FreeBSD), it can very easily do that. How? Most of the work to make that happen is already done with the recent port to the Mac. There are two key things Valve had to do to make this happen:
- Adapt Steam to use a different web rendering engine, notably Webkit. Not only is Webkit the core of Safari and of Google Chrome, the latter being available not just for Windows but for Mac and Linux as well, but of KDE's Konqueror.
- Valve had to adapt Source to OpenGL. Linux desktops, like Macs, support OpenGL for 3D acceleration.
At this point in time, I see absolutely no reason why Valve could not port Steam and any Source game to Linux (and by extension, FreeBSD. About the only thing in the way right now is demand. People need to ask for it. People need to be aware of this.

Does anyone know if the characters who are new to Super Street Fighter 4 will get a second alt costume as well?
Vanilla sf4 characters get three including the old costume packs, new characters get one new alt and that is it.

It's like I'm wearing nothing at all!
Nothing at all!
Nothing at all!

That it has. Also... most regulars here know the approximate playing abilities of other players, so it really disappoints me when I see all "the best" join one team... even worse is when a mod does it and I know that he knows he's teamstacking. Granted, there's no real way to stop this... it's just something I'd like to point out... yet again (I'm not naming people).
They usually just autochoose teams, also I find it less annoying than when half the server excuses not doing anything to help the team with "But frogg is on the other team!"

jjjyeeeeesss!
Do you prefer live music or studio recorded music?

I prefer just listening to studio work usually, can't hear a damn thing at most of the lives I've been to with the one notable exception being The Protomen. Even in a tiny, terrible little club they came through crisp and clear and it was infinitely better than listening to their cds.
