I like. It's very nice and if you decide to keep working on it I hope it gets even better. owo Though it's good now in my opinion.
-
Keep working on it, it sounds good.
-
Okay, it sounds good, and I am impressed that you added a beat to Dearly Beloved.
Only problem I have is the very long opening...beach sounds, waves crashing is nice, but not for nearly a minute. ._. I want music nao kthx. Wow, that hurt to write...
-
This is pretty good. I'm normally not one for vocals, but it works. -gives a thumbs up- and it'll be improved?? Epic epic nice nice. Can't wait to hear how this one turns out.
-
Awesome! Keep up the good work, I look forward to what comes out in the end.
-
Well...I can't say much, considering I didn't find the source...nor have I heard the song before. ._. So...nice what you've got I guess? And it feels sorta bland. I'm not really feeling the music like I should be.
-
Well...it's nice, ambient, piano-y. Yes I just made that word up.
...but....it's lacking some pieces of the song. I can hear the piano skip at the beginning...and the song just seems to be broken up. ._. It's most likely me and my OCD need to have the notes be there that aren't.
Still a good remix.

I'm gonna bump this, cuz we definitely do need some more Golden Sun remixes. Saturos Theme, well..that's from the first one but still! It's technically in the second via Star Magician, and the BGM menu. Definitely...DEFINITELY..Mars Lighthouse. I would love it to be trance, or epic. Either would be appropriate.
...okay, so I like trance a lot. >_> I like dancing to music, but I enjoy having a good song too!
Elemental Stars would be appreciated too. I would request Doom Dragon, but Brawl has beaten everyone to it, and damn them if they didn't do a great job.

I'm rather sad that there aren't more remixes for this game, despite it having, in my opinion, the best soundtrack in the series. The only remix I've seen was one of Stone Tower, and it was little more than a techno version of the same song. It was okay, just lacking in creativity.
Woodfall, Oath to Order, Clock Town, Majora's Theme, and Song of Healing are just some of the dozens of songs from that game that are begging to be remixed.
I liked "Inverting the Tower Temple". It took a creative turn on the song. But I do agree we need more music!
Those suggested are good, and we could always use some more. The Music Box House, Credits, Ballad of the Windfish (inside the bar), Milk Bar, and the Majora's Battle Themes. They would be fun.
-
That's pretty much the list.
I am a fan of "Above the Rising Falls" and "That's What You Get". I would love to hear more of Marluxia's theme songs: Graceful Assassin, Scythe of Petals, Lord of the Castle.
As for music from 358/2... most of the music is remade from 2, boss fight music and Rowdy Rumble, which I did see and advised on because I'm a rabid fan. RABID. =w= -growls and protects his modded PS2- I've no doubt that Darkesword would be able to make some really great remixes from KH, and I'd root for him all the way if he chose to. I would love Xion Battle to be redone, and I found a remix on newgrounds called: "Dirge of the Fourteenth", which wasn't bad. It was kinda good. I also found a trance remix of "Hand in Hand", and I bet bLiNd could make one that's so much better and more headbobbing.
That said, I hope we do get some more KH songs. The series has great music and potential for remixes. Most of the original pieces are my favorites, as the others are Disney music. Definitely more Pink Scythes.

Hey thanks! Yea that last part was quick just to cover the source. I planned on redoing that part as more of a chorus section with a different sound, so its kind of rushed.
Sorry for hijacking your thread skyway haha
I listened to the update, sounds great man, the production is mega clean too. Keep it up
bLiNd!!! Darn you for being so great! >w< GRAWR!! It's a good remix, hope it gets finished.
>_> Skyway, I listened to the first one and am about to listen to the second one now. The first one did seem a bit bland, the voice was not my favorite but it sorta made some sense. I think I confused myself there..anyway! -listens to newer version-
And I like it. -thumbs up- I like being able to tap my feet to a beat and the song still be good.
-
I dislike the lyrics... I'm not a lyric guy at all, and I don't see them working in this song the way they are being used now. Or at all. =w= Harsh, but I take no guilt in admitting that. v-v I can't really think of a way to improve the song, considering it's still in development, and you said you know where it's going. So I just input my piece.
-
It's 7:39 and not finished? ._. That's one long song in the production, but I like where it's going. Hope it gets finished! >_<

OPTIMUS PRIME. xD
I dunno... I'm not good at naming songs... I'm good at naming people with cool names, but I can't do songs... XD (especially since there are no lyrics, just makes a whole lot harder)
You're Darkesword's brother? O-o I am amazed. That does explain the Metroid Prime music, though they are great songs in general and I'm even more amazed not a lot of people have remixed them further.
I've got even less experience than you, but I am a very big fan of what your brother does. I like beats.
That said, I'm not going to compare the two of you.
And Woot! I'm glad my suggestion helped.
I am curious what would happen if you saved what you have, then went back and changed all the instruments around (if that's possible).
-
This is nice, it has a reminiscent feeling of watching Samus fly around in her spaceship, explore danger filled worlds, and then kicking back and relaxing as she shoots down several pirates in a cutscene.
Which is what I get when listening to it, watching several cutscenes like in the opening of the game when it shows you little pieces of gameplay at a time.
Because of that! I pitch the name "A Wayward Hunter's Memories" =w=
That's all the advice I can give. It's kinda quiet at points in the song.
-
Sounding better. .w. The only thing I'd recommend now is my personal tastes which are to use some different instruments. -prefers synth on everything- But that's just me. I think whatever you want to go for from here is good.
-
Sounds good~ I can't work on the project. ^^ Crappy computer combined with no experience and/or software. Scrap Brain sounds like the level.

Here it is : http://www.tindeck.com/listen/qxol
Ah thanks. -listens- I detect the crazy, but it still feels slow. At least to me. ._. like each part is broken up to show the melodies from each section you made. Which is okay, if it was a tad slower. It feels like it's in the middle ground of too slow/too fast for either way.
Course, I have been listening to the ultra-fast version that is 358/2 Days, what with constantly chasing down those speedy Soldiers. .-. Which is pretty much what I think about when I hear this song now. Why not experimentally crank it up a bit? I know it'd shorten the song, but if you start off slow with the first part (much slower), then bring it up fast and keep it at it's fast pace with maybe a drum beat to make their head bob to the tune... -nods nods- I hope that helps?
-
I did the same thing, except I used swap magic XD And now I just need to learn japanese to understand my copy of 358/2 Days
I like that idea, using sound effects from KH. The first thing that came to my mind when reading that was Sora saying "Stop" from the first game. Not sure if you'd wanna use something like that (could have him say it and slow down the mix at points, or something like that) but it's a thought.
Second "idea" that came to my mind (not sure how doable this would be, hence the quotes around idea), if you use sound effects, maybe use the spell names and have the mix tempo change accordingly to what was said. Like maybe using "Fire!" to speed up the mix, whatever he says (I think it's "Freeze") for blizzard to slow it down, or give it a calmer tempo for a little bit. I'm not sure where I'm going with this, just trying to give some suggestions.
I agree it's way too similar to the first, but it's coming along. You just need to find that certain something to make it your own.
One thing I thought of was those old silent film comedies where just a bunch of crazy stuff is going on and the music kind of matches what is going on. Maybe look into some of those? If you haven't already, that is. Who knows, could possibly come up with a name that way too.
It's sounding good though, and you should definitely keep working on it. I can't wait to see what comes of it.
Um..thanks? And I used Magic Swap too, it just killed the first PS2. ._. So I made the other one with the flip top. Already cleared through 358/2 Days! EPIC EPIC! Cannot find a ripped soundtrack yet though, but I so want one.
And Mr. Chernabog person guy...Where are the links?
-
Wow. Congrats and this is very good. At some points, it feels like I'm listening to an updated version of the game, and other times it sounds like a true remix. I love it. -applauds-
-
And quite good too if that's all live as stated. Not to mention I think it'd be hard to make a remix out of something that's all just a few drums, but very nice work.
And a really great title. Wow.
-
I like. Looking back at other people's comments, it's great and sounds beautiful. It is kinda short, but it's a WIP so... keep at it!
-
Just a new version to try new drums and a little piano variation in the second part (not a great improvement).
Well, as a very big KH enthusiast.. (I modded 2 PS2s for the Final Mixes and Re:CoM) I see a lot of it drawing back from the original. Too much. It's way too similar to the first to be a good remix~ So now that the criticizing is done, now comes the part where I try to help and see if anyone listens..
The second part with the crazy piano I like a little more, as it adds craziness to it.
Which is what the song is about. It's a "Rowdy Rumble"; lots of Pete fights and/or mini game involving putting naughty children in boxes. Also the Hyena fights~ The point of which, it should be crazy but at the same time not crazy enough to take away from the original song.
How to do this? I don't know any techy jargin...but I would suggest speeding it up in some parts (or the whole thing after like a slow beginning). Some sound effects from KH would be pretty cool if applied in the right way, and the occasional tune that we'd recognize as the Original Song.

When I went through the album last month, there were just a few songs that I particularly liked enough to save them. This was one of them. It has everything that a remix should have and it portrays the songs in it very well. Congrats.

I remember seeing this on Newgrounds Audio Portal a while ago. Still very good.
