  1. I don't really believe this is live, as most conductors have this terrible prejudice against VG music, and the recording is too clear for it. However, if I'm wrong, let me know who did it so I can say Kudos to them :))

It's pretty interesting sound behind it, but by the end I sort of get bored of the Strings/Brass sound (in particular, the high strings). I don't hear any woodwinds, either... Why? They're so wonderful...

Nice job with the percussion; it fits in real well into the music.

The tune is very similar to the source, and it sounds like you repeat some of the material a bit too much for my taste. I don't understand too much spanish, so I don't know what your saying in the post, but if your gonna touch up on this, I'd personally recommend adding some spice and variety to the repetitions.

Otherwise, very nice; it's always nice to hear Orchestral music up here every once in a while (it mixes up the common electronic sound nicely).

Thanks for your reply Gario. It's not a real orchestra, I played it.

The instruments are (like action films) brass and strings and electronic, no wind instrument.

    Thanks again! :D

  2. Just thought I should pop in and say this particular song doesn't meet OCR's standards

The song is Get It Together by The Go! Team featured on their 2004 album Thunder, Lightning, Strike:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunder,_Lightning,_Strike

That being said, since it wasn't originally composed for the game, rather made beforehand and incorporated INTO the game, it doesn't follow the standards.

I realize no one has suggested THIS SONG be submitted, but I thought I'd say something before someone does so.

    Good song, though :D

I did not know that, it seems that I have no luck.

Some time ago I sent one of Metal Gear Solid with good reviews and thousands of downloads and was rejected, now this song can not appear on the page.

    :'(

  3. Great stuff, I suggest submitting something here.

One note, though: Creative Commons licenses can't be applied to derivative works unless you have the copyright owner's explicit permission. It's the primary reason we don't use CC here on OC ReMix.

    Thanks Dj Pretzel!!

I didn't know this peculiarity about the Creative Commons licenses, thanks for the warning :)

  4. Good afternoon everyone! I'm writing to announce I've posted a new remix inspired by a video game. This time is a remix inspired in Little Big Planet.

The official presentation of Little Big Song has been today Sunday in a radio interview accompanied by the premiere of the new song exclusively.

You can hear it and download it following the link in my signature image.

    I hope you like it!

  5. I recognize the main them source here and it sounds great throughout. You nailed the miami bass sound well- it really sounds like Flying Steps at some points.

The section from 1:33 to 1:54 has gotta be my most favorite part of this mix, even though I don't remember the source music used here. The female vocals blend in well, and I have no problems with the lead that follows at 0:38. The only thing that doesn't work for me is the somewhat sudden change at 1:20 and the choir vocals sound a too "midi-like". They need to sound fuller.

Thanks for your reply! :) The chorus of voices try to be faithful to the sound that you hear when you see the logo from Konami (when the game starts).

  6. This is neat, man. Shame on me, I don't know the source, but unless this is compeltely something else, try submitting it. You could use some more bass, but that's about all I can say that's advice and not just opinion and observation.

Speaking of observation and opinion, your gliding synth whines a little too much for my taste, but I think it's something I'm willing to overlook for the overall coolness of the track. The ending might need some more "grande finale"-feel, but other than that, I got nothing to say.

Besides: Submit! (if it's up to the source vs original ratio standard)

Thanks for your answer :). I agree with you in what you say about the bass, I update it shortly.

    Thanks again! :)
