  1. I'm blown away here.

Let's see, among the many vibes I get, the surf rock piece , something that sounds like part of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers theme (around 0:50), something Batman-ish (0:17-0:30) and of course, "Super Fighting Robot, MEGA MAN!" The whole piece takes me back, forth, and everywhere in between.

Great job! Keep up the good work.

(Personally, I hope y'all eventually get to Quick Man or Gravity Man's themes. Or for a change of pace, tackle some work from Game Boy's Mega Man 5.)

  2. Sixto, Zircon,

After listening to this one and MM II's "Nuclear Flash", I'm curious: are y'all familiar with the work of DBZ soundtrack ace Bruce Faulconer? (00:07-00:23 takes me back to his work. 1:49-2:05 is another Faulconer-esque moment.)

Immediately thereafter (00:24), I'm reminded of the new Avengers theme (We Fight As One), even though it wouldn't be aired for another 2 years.

  3. To me this one feels like a "remix of a remix", in this case, an excellent remix of AE's already stellar take on the Metalman theme.

Don't ask me to choose who I like best... I'd fall over in my chair if either Disco or AE decided to remix The Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, or Transformers themes (only one is in a video game, and it's not the one you'd expect!)

Although I play this one a bit more (not including how I replay it in my head at work -- you'd be surprised how Metalman's theme flows with moving freight), I really like them both.

(Absolutely, positively wanting a remix of the Mega Man 2 Boss music.)

  4. I've got to second a request for Turbo Man and Slash Man.

Of course, who wouldn't like a Transformer and a creative use of the then-held-by-Capcom X-Men Wolverine license?

Turbo Man's stage has a "Power Rangers meet NASCAR" quality to it.

I'm also VERY partial to Skull Castle Stage 1's music. "I (almost) used my kung fu to sneak into a dance party" describes my vibe. (or maybe not)
