http://soundcloud.com/moogoesthecat/qilin A short piece for a private composition class I took at my college last semester. It's the first piano piece I've ever written and I really enjoyed doing it. The idea was to modulate through a number of keys while keeping a decent amount of consonance. I also wanted to make it a bit ambiguous rhythmically to create a sort of fluffy atmosphere. Did I do it? Idk. I guess I'll let you decide. P.S. If you're interested in the sheet music I'll give it out, just send me a PM or whatever.

http://soundcloud.com/moogoesthecat/tiny-tiny-tower i really am getting into experimenting with video game music - though this is very hi-fi. i don't quite know what this was influenced by. in that vein, im really working on toning down my melodies and keeping it pretty simple - so it doesn't distract from the actual game. aside from pretty basic music theroy the main influences were kirby music (its simplicity) and 'hospital' from earthbound (dub). link for 'hospital' - a GREAT song. let me know what you think.
