  1. What I have right now are two Audio Technica AT3035s and an M-MobilePre.

This small setup has treated me pretty well. The mics are pretty great for the price, although They're could be (and probably are) better ones for the same price.

The mobilepre seems to be responsible for most of the noise. However, I would recommend it for something to begin with since it's pretty much a sound card and mic preamp in one.

I'd say that these mics, right now, are suiting my needs well.

While we're on the subject, could anyone recommend some mic amps below $300 and a compressor below $150?

  2. I'm working on a file, but now whenever I open it up, I get this message:

An error occured while reading the FLP file.

It may be corrupted, or some plugn caused an error while opening.

After pressing the "OK" button, I can still nagivate the file with few errors. However, when I try to play it, no sound is produced. If I press the exit button, FL Studio stalls.

I've trade saving to a different file, deleting all the effects, and deleting all channels except for 3x OSC. The same problem is produced.

Any suggestions? I wasn't terribly far along, but it'd be annoying if I would have to begin again.

    Thankyou.

  3. How DO you set up automation effects? What I've been doing is hitting record to a pattern, then tweaking the knobs to various parameters to get the effects I want. But is there a way to undo this or clear my changes in case I mess up and want to re-record? I'm getting tired in re-opening my files.

Ricers, do you mean to edit the events? If you right-click a knob/slider, (any automatable knob in FL,) then click "Edit Events," you can, well, edit the events. If you've already used the record button to "record events," you'll see the automation in there and you can delete it/edit it however you wish. There are also some nice tools (The LFO one is useful.) Remember that the events you edit will end up in the pattern you're working with, so it's a good idea to label them well so that you don't accidentally overlap it with something else, you know?

Anyway, I hope that helps, but if I'm totally off track of what you're trying to do, just holler.

  4. Although this is a pretty big step away from most of Mazedude's other, more electronica remixes, I can still hear quite a bit of the same artist (complete with pitch bends *winkwink*). Great samples were used in this Mix, including a subtle but very sweet sounding vocal sound that comes in every once in a while. Although short, this song is very immersive and cinematic, making you feel like you're in some sort of ancient city or something along those lines.

It's great, and different. I look forward to seeing even more varied work from Mazedude who is also great.
