Hello folks... longtime lurker and supporter of OCR throughout the years. I'm one of the founders of the Donkey Kong Universe comedy/fansite DKVine.com. We've recently started a project to annotate every song from the biggest games in our repertoire, which includes the DKCs, the Banjo-Kazooie series, Donkey Kong 64, and more.
First up is Banjo-Kazooie, which features almost 150 individual tracks. You can click that link to see what we're doing, and how members of our forums have helped out with short descriptive text for several of the tunes. I'm coming to OCRemix because I figure a lot of you might not only be fans of Rare's musical heyday, but would be in a unique position to provide more technically-oriented writeups.
The ultimate goal is to provide 100% comprehensive online liner notes for the B-K soundtrack, crowdsourcing a diverse cross-section of the game's fandom, reflecting the varied opinions, expertise, and perspectives they carry. OCR being the most highly regarded games music community online, I'd be remiss if I didn't at least try to reach out to you all. If you even have a passing appreciation for Banjo-Kazooie and its incredible soundtrack, I think this could be a lot of fun for you.
Currently, we've got a dedicated thread on the DK Vine forum for this project. We're asking anyone who's interested to sign up over there and just post any and all contributions in that thread. You'll be fully credited for each one you submit.
