  1. Bump for final mix and master. Thanks for listening.
  2. Instrumental interlude to the album I'm doing did. Touhou vocal emo forever Reina is a better trumpet player than Kaori-senpai mp3: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8406298/lastremote.mp3 wav: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8406298/lastremote.wav So I guess the source is kind of dark but I shifted it to a major key but tried to keep a melancholic feeling before shifting to 4/4 time, where it gets kind of fun? I tried. Also tried not to overstay the song's welcome so it's a short song. I like short songs. Just now realizing I didn't use the melody at 2:20 of the original... oh well source: More songs like this one (they all have vocals though): find your way Or check out this other song I tried posting. touhou post-metal Thanks for your time.
  3. Hello, I am bumping this post because I realized I left this undone without even trying for a mod's opinion or anything. The game was just released on Playism, so now people outside of Japan (or who didn't want to use amazon.jp) can purchase the game, so I guess it's as good a time as any to try again. I actually released a full album almost half a year ago of Touhou post-rock, so please check that out if you like. current revision (wav): https://dl.dropboxus...98/20150517.wav mp3: https://dl.dropboxus...98/20150517.mp3
  4. Thank you very much for your kind reply! I have taken a lot of this advice into the current revision, and have edited the OP with a new link:current revision (wav): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...0141203v01.wav mp3: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...0141203v01.mp3 I am personally not a huge fan of hard-panned guitars, but I thought to give it a try as per your advice. I was using a stereo spread on a lot of the guitars before for some reason, but have since hard-panned most of them. Sounds good to me! Most guitars and the bass guitar were given cuts around the suggested areas. Thank you so much for pointing out the kick thing! I wouldn't have thought anything of it until you had me check my EQ settings. I had some strange boosts that I have since removed.
  5. Hello everyone. I've been aware of ocr for the longest time and always wanted to try doing something but never had the guts to sign up. So I signed up at the beginning of this year and never posted. So this is my first post, but I've been doing lots of Touhou rearrangements on the side for a while now. So this is a post-rock rearrangement of "Dullahan Under the Willows" from the most recent (full) Touhou game. I feel like I used a lot of the source, but because my arrangement is 7 minutes long, I am worried the percentage is off. Either way I am finished the arrangement, so please lend me your mixing advice. source tune: updated May 17 2015: current revision (wav): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8406298/20150517x.wav mp3: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8406298/20150517x.mp3 album There are several drum homages so I hope that's not a problem; kudos if you recognize them. Thank you for your time.
