  1. !!!

I promise I'll start working on those after finals! (finals are the second week of December) :-)

I want to make the Dec 1st date so I'll probably just keep that guideline synth where your voice should be and move on for now. Can't wait to hear what you send over, though.

  2. I'll try to prepare the sections that actually warrant vocals soon, but in the meantime:

    @KingTiger & Wildfire:

Do you have examples of you vocal work I can check out? I went to KingTiger's page, but kept finding instrumental stuff. BTW, the female vocal part is lyrical (I don't think I specified, earlier). Thanks!

  3. Blaaaaaaaaarg. I made some sweet parts today using Shreddage, but it won't export properly. Sounds great while working in FL Studio, but then is missing notes and crap on export.

If ain't one thing, it's another I tells ya.

Edit: I have resorted to recording that instrument track from FL Studio into a wave editor, saving it as a wav, then reimporting it to FL Studio as an Audio File channel. That makes me very sad.

  4. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... my system drive is about to die. Anybody know of a reliable harddrive cloning software for PC?

Fortunately my Gunstar workfiles are on my non-system drive, but I need my system drive to, ya know, actually use my computer. I want to clone it because reinstalling a million musical things (sound libraries and software) takes a million years and I don't have that kind of time.

  5. Forgive me if there's already a thread for this, but I used both forum search and google search (narrowed by domain) and could only find threads about East and Prime 2011.

It doesn't look like there's an OCR Panel this year (unless I'm blind). But I was curious if I might still bump into any fellow remixers while I was there.

So... anybody going to PAX Prime?

  6. Hey guys. I figured I'd make an easy to grab album for the various OCR competition entries I've been doing. It includes stuff from the Grand Robot Master Remix Battle, The Wily Castle Remix Guantlet, the World Warrior Remix Royale, and the Sonic Zone Remix Competition.

Don't let the "buy" link fool you. It's free (unless you're feeling generous). This stuff was already floating around various threads, but now it's all in one easy to grab spot called "Competition Grade".

    Enjoy!

  7. Welcome to Gario, Malcos and also The Coop, who will be helping with the album artwork. :)

The 3 weeks period after the initial claim is coming to an end this Sunday for a few people.

A reminder PM has been sent to those concerned. If you haven't already, please get in touch and let us know your status.

Again, this only applies to 3 weeks old claims, which haven't yet been solidified by a short wip.

As DusK mentioned in his last post, be sure to bring the energy. And don't forget to have fun with your arrangement. ;)

I made a bit more progress on mine. I'll try to get it in a nice, sendable state by the end of Sunday.

  8. I don't have much time since I have drumline stuff all day, just popping in to say damn, great matchup Finger! It was a fun one, and a nail-biter, for sure :D

I'm glad we finally got to have our duel. It was a fun time. Honestly, I'm a bit relieved I lost, though. I have had several new music projects popping up since I joined and now I'll actually have time to devote to them.

Good luck against Amphibious! I'm sure you'll have the toughest match to vote on ;)

  9. My last minute votes are in. The Amphibious vs. Ben Briggs match is heartbreaking. I want them both to win. Easily my favorite 2 tracks of the round. Ultimately, I went with Ben's because the variety of the rhythm and pacing clicked with me a bit more, but damn... those were 2 damn fine songs right there.

  10. I hope you guys noticed (and enjoyed) the little Sonic 3 reference in one of my fills. Keeping up my weird trend of paying small tributes to games that aren't actually represented by me or my opponent. (Last round had the Sonic Boom clip despite neither being from Sonic CD)

Edit: Also in case anybody doesn't pick up on the reference in the track name, Sonic makes Speedy Gonzales seem like Regular Gonzales. Yeah... I've been rewatching the good 'ol, pre-cancellation days of Futurama again.
