    Hey when we get there, how much do you want us to throw down for your hospitality? I'm willing to help but want know what's a decent amount of funds to bring down aside from dinner costs.

    5 bucks, but again its not required unless you want to be awesome.

    Dinner you should read the menu, I have it in the evite text.

    That should give you an idea of what to bring for din din.

    If you guys have any questions just shoot it to me here in the thread or in PM or AIM.

    oh shit I gotta go to this. I just saw this on the mainpage because I don't post or even lurk for that matter. But for now, it's just a maybe. (gotta get fucking parental approval. T_T)

    edit: if I do come, I'll bring my ps2 complete with controllers and guitar hero 2. :)

    if you have GH 1, bring that, I already have GH 2, and guitar controllers.

    I'm also going to take on a backup role. So we've got like 11-12 people. That's not to say that auditions are closed yet. If I think you're good enough I'd still like to you mix something for a possible spot on the project. I might do this Kong in Concert style by picking the best ones.

    This better not be small. Trenth, try to get everyone who went to the first SoCal meet up to go!

    from the look o the other thread, things seem poised to be quite rowdy.

    I have a handdrum, guitar bass and keyboard, and all the recording software we'd ever need to do some fun stuff.

    If any of you coming have hand drums or know how to play bass, or guitar or something, maybe we can also Jam.

    Shouldn't the community finish the projects it already has going.

    There are a few projects that are actually in the projects forum and a large handfull of developing projects.

    Unfortunately that is at the sole discretion of a project coordinator, and the people behind the project.

    Because there are more mixers than projects, more projects will form. You shouldnt be negative about getting more music. yeah it takes some projects longer to happen than others, but in the end its usually worth it.

    Also, go to zircon's website and listen to ROMance and if thats not the sort of "love song" type thing you're going for then thats cool, cause we were gonna remix this anyway.

    Also, this is the lost woods theme... its like... the silliest theme on the planet, so I don't see how else it could work to be honest.

    Also a very good point.

    Its true that freezepop style sounds suitable to a silly song when you look at it as a silly song. I totally see how you could do a powerful and gripping synthpop track (see shael riley.) But I feel that you may be a little too close minded about the situation. If you dont look at Lost woods as simply a silly song, you could take it very seriously in plenty of other fashions. Below is an example of the type of song I'd imagine Lost woods to be if it were a lady's tale about the one who got away. ( Link totally gets with ruto in that game, we all know it.)

    this isnt to say I want to take on lost woods cause I dont. I'm just saying we should be just as open to the slightly sweet version of Saria's tale, as we are to the saccharine pop fest version.

    We all know how powerfully Jill can emote with her voice, so whatever you guys come up with, I'm looking forward to it. Just be open minded and let creativity guide you in the right direction.
