Crystal Desmond
I'm really new to the whole remixing game and I'm trying to choose which program to use. I don't play any instruments; in fact, all I can do is sing and work with notes. I was wondering if there was a program in which you manipulate notes on the screen to create music. Does that even make sense? Thanks in advance, Crystal
Tensei
Well, first of all, welcome to the forums. What you're talking about is a Sequencer, it allows you to input notes and if it's connected to a virtual instrument you can let it play back the notes you've put in. Sequencers come in different shapes and forms. I believe the most common one is where you put in notes through a piano roll (Most popular programs, like FL Studio and Reason use this), but there are other ways, such as through notation (with a program like Sibelius or Finale). Anyway, I'd like to redirect you to the remixing forums, where you can find a lot of help to get started and a lot of answers to your questions. Good luck getting started =)
Crystal Desmond
Oh, that makes sense. Ok, I'll have to go take a look at those. Thanks so much Tensei!
