SLyGeN
So after three years of "shit, I can't deal with these joysticks, where's my WASD?", and many losses at Halo and the like, now one of my mates says "hey, you can plug a keyboard and mouse into those USB ports down there.." *slap to the forehead* So, my question is, are generally all USB keyboards and mice compatible with the Xbox/360 and PS2/3? I don't want to run out and purchase the two peripherals only to find that they don't work. Also on the side, I just purchased a PStwo now that the prices have generally plummeted. Any game recommendations? I generally enjoy horror and puzzle games with more of a mature feel to them. Thanks.
kitty
Keyboarding can only be used for typing and messaging. Here are my sources: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-6449_7-6398801-1.html http://kotaku.com/gaming/xbox-360/360-keyboarding-141113.php For horror and puzzle, check out the Silent Hill series. I was particularly impressed by SH1 and SH2, but SH1 is for the original Playstation. The stories are loosely related (think the relationship between Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross). Silent Hill 1 & 2 are only related in name and area where the games take place. In fact if you want to follow the stories of the Silent Hill series. Go with Silent Hill 1 then 3; where as three takes place years after SH1 as it ties up some loose ends. Silent Hill 2 & 4 are loosely tied togteher; mainly in reference to a particular serial killer mentioned midway in SH2 though overall both are not tied together as 1 & 3. 4 if only for the novelty as it has its own story to tell. Go for the Fatal Frame series as well if you can along with Siren; also from Team Silent...
SLyGeN
Thanks for the suggestions. The reason I thought the keyboard would work for games was because the topic came up while I was playing FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus on the PS2, and there are actually keyboard options in that game. So does that mean keyboards are fine on the PS2/3, but not on Xboxes? Or only certain games with those settings in the options menu?
