Kirby 64 + Robowarrior Songs, Could Use Mixing Advice

Mainly I need help with mixing/mastering/wotever-you-call-it. Organizing the instruments on the audio plane in a clear, pleasing manner (rather like Pink Floyd's "The Division Bell", even though that's the pinnacle of their sound and not likely to be achieved by me within the next decade...) Not so much with the arrangements, as I've no plan on working these over for OCR submission.

Now, I've read articles. I've waded through seas of engineering jargon, wrenching open clams both pompous and humble for the smallest pearls of wisdom. I've even tried to apply some of these to what little I know of Reason 3, experimenting here and there with things and finding... that I have no bally clue what I'm actually doing. Or, on the other hand, I'll have a vague notion of what I'm trying to accomplish, and yet can't tell the difference between what it sounds like, what I want it to sound like, and what it wants to sound like. Like forcing what you believe to be a circular block into a square hole, only it's actually a triangle. And it's biting your ears.

Also, any word on whether or not the instruments sound real enough would be awesome, and any tips on how to improve them... I'm still in the stages of "Wow, it's not plain midi anymore. Good enough!"

So, I ask you: Not, "What should I do?" Rather: "What would YOU do?" No lollygagging "it might sound better if..." - cold, hard facts, please. If it helps, here are the Reason project files. I know you won't have the same instrument samples as me, but I think all the settings and combinators and everything is still there, so you might be able to spot something I'm doing wrong, or something I'm not doing at all (EQing.)
