Israfel Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 A fairly empty sounding mix. Generally we have bass and percussion and that's about it (well, except for the "groovy" pads). But just looking at what's here there are some problems. For instance the bass is a bit muddy sounding and cluttered- and for a very obvious reason. You have a typical bass synth providing the harmonic basis for the piece, and in the same octave with similar sounding bass synths you have the melody going. The end result is a blob of undefined noise in the lower registers. The percussion is also pretty straightforward and doesn't really add much to the mix. I'll have to say: NO
