Malcos
I'm sure you get this a lot. I submitted a mix back in ... oh, February! and I was wondering if it ever even made it into the queue? I received an email confirmation, but I check the Judges Decisions fairly often and never saw it. It's from a game called Arcana for SNES. Mix title is "Quoth the Draven." Thanks again for your help! -Richter
Malcos
The main flute instrument sample was played a lot lower than the note it was sampled from, so you get that unnatural sound, which takes away from the effectiveness and emotion that the piece should have. The arrangement was ok, although some instruments came in way too loudly and the ending was too sudden. NO
Israfel
Most of this one is rather a bit too similar to the original- the only real difference is that everything is an octave lower in the mix. A few new things added around the halfway point- but this is just too much like the original and the octave displacement doesn't really work in my opinion. Protricity
This is quite indeed similar to the original. Aside from the looping, and the shortness, I find the mix to be rather simplistic. No real percussive element, no accompany. Just the original. Work on greater expression of the song rather than just a rehash. NO
Vig
I agree that this mix is too simple. i am also turned off by the issues with the flute sample. it also repeats quite a bit for such a short mix. doesnt build up enough. NO
