It sounds beautiful on the SNES, but it's just crying out to be updated. In particular I am picturing the theme of the first level and/or the second level, the town. I think either of these songs could be made into a number of styles, but they really require a strong melodic, instrumental presence, as in something you might hear in a movie or really atmospheric game. It doesn't even have to be a serious OCREMIX grade remix, just an improvement upon the original.
