Meteo Xavier
So I'm going to to try to do an ambient album with my new computer and its new capabilities. Here are two tracks I'm working on as of..... Friday? I don't know, but anyway here they are, mostly finished, but definitely going back to fix them up proper. Ornamekias - A Slight Wave from Above http://www.zshare.net/audio/57565511888880fa/ This is pretty analogous and fairly simple. I'm going to add a few things to it, but I think its mostly done as of now. Icidina - The High-Shiva of the Frozen Glacier-Plains http://www.zshare.net/audio/5756561523117d0f/ This one I'm having more trouble with. My sound driver is having a problem and its making it difficult to judge the sound accurately. I definitely know this needs some work, especially in the mixing and levels, I just want to get a better idea of what needs to be worked on so I can fix it correctly. Its also more dramatic and louder than the first one. Enjoy.
jabond23
I like these songs. They're very melodic and ambient, which is obviously what you were going for! lol Ornamekias - A Slight Wave from Above I like this song, it has a kind of dark side to it. By dark, i mean, that it places you a setting in the middle of the dead winter. Where its unbelieveably cold and dark outside. I don't think there's anything i caught that was off about this song. My only insight is that the outro is a little sudden, or unexpected. At least on my part it was. Icidina - The High-Shiva of the Frozen Glacier-Plains Its actually mixed pretty well. I think drums seem to be overpowering everything else. The other instruments seem to on level. I like the slow build up and the way it fades it out. Very nice! Meteo Xavier
The DRUMS are overpowering? Seriously? I would have never guessed, they sound fine on my end.....
jabond23
I'm sorry, i didn't mean to offend you. I was just trying to give you any sort of feedback on your stuff. I do like it, its very melodic and captures the tone you were going for.
Meteo Xavier
Oh I didn't mean to come off offended, I'm just surprised of the many things that could've been a problem on this track, the DRUMS are the ones that stood out. They were the least of my concern. I just wanted to make sure the sound was balancing ok and not clipping or distorting or going overboard or anything. jabond23
Nah, everything sounded awesome on my end!
Meteo Xavier
Ok, so here's another one I'm working with. I'm going for a very angelic, celestial ambience, but I must admit I really don't know what I'm doing here. The song is mostly lead by a couple of piano lines in D Minor, extremely repetitiously, then A Minor, then back to D Minor. Its still a WIP, but I feel its mostly finished. I'd just an example of what I'm going for here. I have Aphrodite Oceanus, but I know there's more, I just can't find it, and I'd like to so I can get this song working right. http://www.zshare.net/audio/58207144786d4910/
