music player with easy tagging

i got to thinking about this the other day. is there a music player - preferably iPod-compatible - that employs tagging of files with different terms for searching (like 'saxophone' or 'vocal')?

I use the Comments field to do that kind of thing. Fill it with a list of tags (I comma-separate them for easy reading), and then make a smart playlist using "Comment Contains Saxophone" as the criteria, for example.
