Help updating with OS X Leopard

So for the first time, I've decided to try updating my Mac OS X to the latest version that just came out ( 10.5.8 ) manually. I'm currently running 10.5.7 on a iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 3,06GHz.

So I went on the website to download the update for 10.5.8 and each time I tried installing it, at the "Select emplacement" option my HD would have a message saying that it's impossible to install on it (incompatible). I tried with the combo update too, same thing. At this point I decided to just wait and at least update Safari to the latest version but it gave me the same error!

The Apple Software updater has nothing for me and I'm a bit at loss with this error stopping me from manually updating anything.
