predcon Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I'm serious. Has anyone ever attempted to attach words to the tune? I haven't emailed Mr. Prince himself yet, but I will if I don't get a response here. Quote
Schwaltzvald Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 What would the lyrics be of? Sometimes lyrics can ruin a song, case in point and that Both explained perfectly by Quote
predcon Posted June 25, 2010 Author Posted June 25, 2010 I dunno, kinda like EWJ's "Invertabrate Retreat", or the end credits theme for Deus Ex's The Nameless Mod. Or it could be wacky like that Zelda song from the Aquabats. Quote
Kizyr Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Lyrics can also make a mediocre song completely awesome. Case in point: Team Gato Rhymes with Elixir ohhh yeah. So, what were you thinking? Metal? Rock? Jazz? J-Pop? Comedy? Klingon Opera? KF Quote

predcon Posted June 26, 2010 Author Posted June 26, 2010 So, what were you thinking? Metal? Rock? Jazz? J-Pop? Comedy? Klingon Opera? KF Anything but alternative rock. I hate that crap. Actually, I was thinking something like the Doobie Brothers or Creedence, something that would have inspired Bobby Prince, who would have grown up with these bands, when he penned these tunes. Quote
KyleJCrb Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Isn't E1M1 already ? Bobby Prince was more inspired by metal bands than anyone you mentioned when writing the Doom soundtrack. Quote

Forget this. It was a stupid idea anyway. My new one's better. http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?p=691504 Quote
