Irish jazz-musician Jork presents an unusual combination of FM, 8-bit sound, orchestra and electronic synths in his album titled "Superannuated". It features nine jazz-fusion/avant-garde compositions, combining complex chords and virtuoso solos with melodic soundscapes and rich harmonies.

This is an interesting concept. I think it'd be more captivating with a fuller sound/the inclusion of live instruments, also I find these kind of things are really enhanced by virtuousic performance though with sequenced sounds there's little sense of a "performance".

Those aside, it made a nice listen, though sometimes I wanted it to be a bit more sparing with the dissonance and irregular time signatures as at times it could feel a little arbitrary.

I guess a lot of this is personal preference and also instant reactions to this kind of music aren't necessarily the best as they're often a grower!

Congrats on making this album, though.
