MikeViper Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Here's a metal remix of "Flash in the Dark" from Megaman 9. It's very much a work-in-progress though now, but I'd like critique on how I can make it better. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=1127019&songID=10114864 Quote
ShadowBlade Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Metal. My fave genre. But you used the RSE of Guitar Pro 5 didn't you? If not, your guitar sounds absolutely awful. As a guitar player of 7 years I must say, always use a real guitar for rock music. Never settle for less. The drums are bland, they lack punch.. Quote

You're correct, I did use fake guitars, but in the final I'll use real one's. Also, are the drum samples in themselves bland, or is it the actual drum part? Quote

Really all you need is real guitar and superior samples in my opinion. Quote
SonicThHedgog Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Shadow summed this thread up, but if you SERIOUSLY must have a guitar sample library http://prominy.com/SC.htm Quote
