eilios Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 It sounds like air is moving through something fast, sorta like in pneumatic systems. What's that called? Quote
SonicThHedgog Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 thats a white noise synth. just find any synth and modulate the white noise with a band pass, it extremly common in electronic(a) music, especially in house music. i can even give you some sample if you like, theres 2 things you can never get enough of, white noisem and cowbell Quote
Moseph Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 It sounds to me like white noise with a high pass filter on it or some kind of electronic cymbal hit. EDIT: Sniped! Quote

PrototypeRaptor Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Alright, thanks. =D FWIW, deadmau5 used FXPansion's Strobe as the main synth for that track. So there's a high probability that that specific white noise is just a straight sample from it, run through some outboard filters. ...or it's just a vengeance sample haha Quote
