I was originally planning to do a far more chilled out version of this, but for some reason I imagined this track would be cool as Drum and Bass so I went at it and before I knew it I was having a blast. Vidilian Posted February 24, 2011 Share Posted February 24, 2011 The low pitch synth that plays at the beginning and end seems too muddy and overbearing which makes the melody and other things hard to hear. EQing out some of its lower frequencies should help with that. The kick drum seems a bit thin so doubling it up with a kick that has more thump could help. The arrangements too conservative aswell and the drumline could be better. Version 2: http://tindeck.com/listen/lubo Changes: Beefed up the percussion. Used sidechaining to keep the wobble bass from overpowering the kick. EQ'd the hell out of the wobble bass to make it less muddy. Put a few drum loops in the main drum section to make it more fun. Beefed up the wobble bass a little bit.
