Sonic 2 - Emerald Hill Zone - "EHZ Punk (Triple-Mohawk Redux)"

I'm currently working on a lone wolf remix album called "Generation Gap". The idea is to take Genesis-era Sonic tracks and remix them in a style reminiscent to newer Sonic games. Though it'll be a KNGI release, I'd like some tracks to make it to OCR. I think this could be one of those tracks.

As the title implies, it's a punk remix. Crits/suggestions very welcome, and said crits/suggestions may go a long way in making the whole album better.

It's pretty good. I think adding some keyboard strings [or the real strings] would help. Of course it wouldn't sound like punk, but I digress

I enjoyed this. Pretty good take on the original! The only thing I wasnt a fan of are the drum samples. What samples did you use?

You definitely got style/production nailed for a punk tune. I think adding anything to it would take away from the style you got going. It would be really cool to turn it into a vocal track, but its good as it is.

I do think the drums could use a little more attention but in honesty, its great stuff and I enjoyed it.

What samples did you use?

FL Studio samples. Not the best, but it's the best I have access to, so it's what I gotta work with.

Anyway, I'm at version 3. Some minor production touches, and a re-recorded bass because the old one was a bit lacking. My bass sucks hard, so I have to do a lot of EQing to make it sound good.

Crits always welcome, and suggestions are delicious.

You made this with the FL Studio default samples? Impressive. I enjoyed this mix.

My only gripe is that it sounds a little bit crowded.
