LuigiBlood
So... I came here to show off my remixes, and this is the one I want to have feedback: http://soundcloud.com/luigiblood/flashback-the-escape-long I did a short version of this song before this: (But I want feedback for the Long version, and for those who doesn't know Flashback, this video contains the Intro cutscene) I had to think how to make the long version not that boring, but it's not really easy. I don't plan to do any more changes to the remix. It's made with FL Studio 9, I used FM8 VST and DSK SF2 (using Roland MT32 Soundfont) for drums. DrumJ8
I think it sounds good although I am not familiar with the source track; you have these long stretches of repeating phrases that can get repetitive. Even slight changes can make it sound more varied like adding percussion or changing rhythm. You could also try modulating at a certain point to make a drastic change. With that repeating phrase, it almost sounds like you're building up to some sort of climax but there is no climax in the track. The dynamics are pretty static too, there is a slight dip in the middle and then it comes back up again. Maybe try playing around with dynamics to help with variation as well.
