Can anyone guess the what the title is referencing?

Question, I use Battery and sometimes I layer drum sounds by clicking on a cell and choosing "add sample" a few times. Sometimes, all the sounds don't play, especially when I try programming quick notes. I'm not sure why that is, does anyone know?

Any tips on how to humanize the snare sound a bit?
