SoUnDoLe
Hey everyone, I just finished another cover using Electronic Wind Instruments, and I'd love for you to have a listen and tell me what you think. Any feedback is always appreciated!
Michael_Lochlann
that's interesting...... It does sound very NES-ey, I wonder if you can play real wind instruments? It would be neat to hear that. I do like the tone though, it's relaxing and haunting. Maybe make the game footage full-screen. watching someone toot a clarinet is not as interesting as watching someone sing (this reminds me of McGroove). I felt like it could be a little brighter, maybe add a bit of hi shelf, a db at 10k or so, see what that does...if nothing try bringing the freq down and boosting more hi's
SoUnDoLe
Thanks for listening mate! I do indeed play winds - I came to the EWI from a background as a classical clarinettist. Good point about the footage - for recordings with less parts, the video game footage takes up a much bigger screen proportion. I haven't mucked around with equalisers just for the sake of sound much, so that's definitely something I could get into - patches on the EWI can often come off as abrasively bright though, so I'm kind of happy if it's coming across as dark! Cheers!
