The Coop Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Yes, I'm back again. So far, I'm batting 500 with this kind of thing over the last year. The first hunt was successful ("Jessica" by the Allman Brothers as Rexy said), and the second fell flat (no matches anywhere). I'm hoping to get bumped up to a .666 average with this one. So yeah, here's my third one. It's been in my head for a few days, and it is incredibly familiar... so much so that I'm certain I should know it well. A part of me wants to link it to a piece of some rockish song, where the melody is used before a verse or something, but I'm not sure. Either way, it's driving me nuts. I've tried Midomi (it can record the music playing from my DAW, which I didn't know) and Musipedia, but they came up empty (Musipedia had lots classical matches, but none of them seemed right). At one point, I thought this might be from an Electric Light Orchestra song, or maybe even something disco-ish, but I don't know. But I can't help but think it was either actual violins, or a synth that was violin-like, used in the song. Quote
