jobro Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 When it comes to NES music then FamiTracker is your best friend. Nothing comes closer to the NES sound on PC, trust me. Quote
Tensei Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Still looking for NES-percussion? Cause this is pretty much the most awesome .NSF file I've ever heard, and it's from a certain totally overlooked NES-game. http://rapidshare.com/files/41909506/SILVERSU.NSF.html some kick-ass source material for remixing, if I may say so. =P Quote
SnappleMan Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I use MML for all my nsf creations. It's a bit difficult to get into, but it's the best and most accurate. Whoever said that a soundfont emulates the square wave exactly is a dildo. Also, with MML you can create your own DPCM out of any sample you want. I see no reason for using anything else if you're going to authenticity. Quote
