Jens Wulvik Posted July 23, 2007 Share Posted July 23, 2007 I just bought the 'Native Instruments Audio Control 1', and I've experienced a problem. I know this sound device can take 24 bit sound, but when I set my host to 24 bit, it tells me that the sound device is incompatible, and resets it to 44 khz, 16 bit sound. I'm using Cakewalk Sonar 6. EDIT: By activate, I meant like registering the product. Everytime I restart my computer, I have to open my tablet's control panel in order to properly activate it.Everytime. It has something to do with my USB chipset I think--it's Via. POS! From Native Instruments support: Question: What can I do to optimize the USB connection between my computer and the the Audio Kontrol 1? Answer: It is recommended to disable power management to the USB hubs if you are on a Windows machine, to assure that the Audio Kontrol 1 receive enough power to work properly. XP turns this on by default. Go to device manager (Control Panel/system/hardware) and right click a USB hub to bring up properties. On the power management page, uncheck all boxes.
