Lunahorum
for some reason my pitch bend wheel is having some problems with a variety of synths including Massive and Crystal. In massive, it bends 2 notes down but barely any up. In crystal, it bends more than 2 down and less than 2 up. Any advice?
Harmony
More info might help. What type of controller are you using? Have you inadvertently changed the default pitch bend range on it? Are all of your synths showing this behavior? To diagnose the problem I would record a midi track and move my pitch wheel to its extreme upper and lower positions. Then, look at the recorded values. Depending on your sequencer, the values should go from -127 through +127, or -8192 through +8191, or from 0 through +16383. If not then either your wheel is busted, the sequencer is not properly reading the wheel's output, or something along those lines. If the range is correct, I would suspect that some settings in the synths are the problem.
Lunahorum
well I recorded a line in FL studio and bent the pitch wheel full each time (had it set to 2 semitones) and it the channel pitch window it did move two semitones each way, but it sure didn't sound like it. Fray
So FLStudio gives you visual feedback as to how far you're pushing the pitch wheel? Anyway, check the settings in your synths (and FL as well), and see if there's some limit to pitch bend there.
SnappleMan
There should be an option to set the pitch wheel sensitivity in each synth plugin. In most of the plugins I use, it varies from patch to patch, and it's fairly easy to go into the patch editing windows and set the mod/pitch sensitivity level. If it's not a part of the synth's GUI, then you'll have to open the product manual and find which CC control value corresponds to that function. Then you can go into the beginning of the MIDI track and set that controller to the desired value you want.
