Time to open the OCR time capsule, which is full of the good, the bad, and the ugly! djpretzel had earmarked this 2010(!) submission as a flood track for a site redesign, like he did in 2004 with an 11-track flood for the unveiling of OCR 4.0. Well, as much as djp iterated on and improved the v4 design, we're ultimately still using it, so it's far past time to dust off this old gold and set it free. Part time capsule, part hidden treasure, we've got a funky train on the tracks from Joshua Morse arranging Korean MMORPG La Tale, a gaming experience that, surprisingly enough -- like OCR -- continues to keep chugging to this day!

As far as this piece reaches back, Morse's arrangement remains as contemporary as the day it was made, opening with guitar strums before gradually growing to a groove that rides the railroad. All aboard the Morse Music Express! jm's synths as well as his electric guitar, brass, and bassline samples carry so much personality, it really feels like musical comfort food in the catchiest way. :-) Since creating this way back when, Morse also released an amped up chippy & electro version of these same sources that you should pick up from his Arrangement Archives bundle on Bandcamp (along with his extremely catchy indie game scores as well). No matter what version of "Western GunRun" you vibe with most, we can all agree that "In Morse We Trust" when it comes to music that makes you move!

Apologies if this is off topic I will say my piece on the track in due time, is this a new release from Joshua Morse, or this is a submission from 2010 that was re-released? I don't understand.

EDIT: Ok, I think I understand, Josh submitted in 2010, and it was approved, and set to release now? WOW, thats so cool! I hope Josh didn't mind haha.

I am a huge fan of Josh's remixes and this has all the ingredients for the best kind of ocr cake: Jazzy grooves, smooth synths, beautiful goosebump transitions. That banjo could have sent me either way: swamps of mississippi or western gunslinger. Overall love this, and tickled by this concept of delayed classics(if I am understanding correctly!).
