    Fallout was expected. After all, we'd been dealing with an inordinate amount of nonsense for nearly a year. We knew people would be angry and complain vehemently, but I personally was honestly surprised with how vicious and depraved some of the stuff that was posted got. There was absolutely no justification and no excuse for some of the things said.

    In the end though, it was just a bad decision to delete Unmod while most of the site staff was attending Magfest, because we didn't have "all hands on deck" to deal with the inevitable backlash. I was one of the main proponents for the deletion of Unmod, and I argued heavily that the forum should actually be deleted completely and replaced with a new one rather than just renaming it, but deleting it without preparation (i.e. the way it actually went down) was not the way I'd have done it.

    I'm actually glad you agree with the fact that Unmod was taken down distastefully and we're in full agreement here. That being said, there should be no quarrel with you! I don't really want to beat a dead horse because I honestly don't care about it anymore.

    I think what we really want is an apology from Dave for ruining our lives tbh. /s

    After about 10 minutes of non-stop editing, deleting, banning via proxy, I realized that I was spending my Saturday night--hell, the last couple of months--on one of the most worthless endeavours ever: trying to moderate childish, ignorant, hateful people with an unbelievable sense of entitlement. That night showed me the absolute worst the community had to offer.

    I shut off my computer and decided to watch kung fu movies with my dad instead. The next day, I resigned from all of my staff positions on OCR.

    I went off on a tangent for a little bit, so to get back to the point: people were banned because they did some bad shit. Mostly spamming and harassment.

    In absolutely all fairness and seriousness, how was this not expected? If i were a moderator, I'm sure I would have felt the same way. But UnMod's deletion was like the 9/11 of OCR.

    so like i rolled alliance rogue now level 61 and my battlegroup sucks i have to get off this shitty server, also dk's need to be erased from game

    i'm usually horde but you guys know kakumei right

    well i started playing with him a while ago and he was alliance so i had little option, also rogues own

    the real point here is dk's are retarded, a monkey with downs could play one and farm arena

    also ulduar today, probably not imo

    After thinking about it, listening to all of the music in this thread, and reading what people had to say, I just wanna say:

    You either like it or you don't. So what.

    For those of you wanting a revolution, the tide is going to start to turn pretty soon as the economy keeps falling so no worries for you.

    In the mean time, keep listening to what you like, and use cool services like Pandora to find more music like that.

    Word.
