Overly repetitive, except the parts where you could hear a little of the melody, which I _EVENTUALLY_ Recognized as Grim Reaper theme and Vampire Killer, badly combined... I personally hated this. I also couldn't see much "rigor". DJP misclassified this as "dance". It's a trance piece. No faster or more rigorous than Terra Tripmachine. Heck, I think Terra Tripmachine trumps it easy.
Either way, I think it sucks. Tone down the analogue, crank up the melody, keep the melody going through the whole song. Add some drums and up the tempo if you want it to be dance, but I would love a decent VK/Reaper trance piece.

Y'know...Wow. This song is awesome. Definitely on par, if not better than the classic Terra in Black by Ailsean, and the acoustic part reminds me of Death on the Snowfield. Therefore, you've just combined two of the best guitar based Terra ReMixes out there. 11/10.Why do I always get to the review boards after someone else says EXACTLY what I'm thinking?

Well, good news. My rap-fanatic uncle Silas is now hooked an one OCRemix, at least. He wouldn't listen to any of the songs I sent him until this one, and I had to pull "OCRemix" and "Castlevania" from the title... He was surprised when he heard it came from the same site and soundtrack as BloodyHell (another one he condemned for being a video-game remix).

Y'know, I've actually had people SERIOUSLY ask me if CV was a BDSM hentai game... Of course, they got kicked. Hard. In the shins.The Whips in castlevainia mixes are starting to get a bit stale. But then, it wouldn't be a catlevainia mix without 'em.But yeah, the whip SFX just make it more CV-ey.

Well, I honestly thought a fight with the Reaper should have a bit more of a wall-of-sound feel, like many of CotMM's works. Honestly, I don't think "spooky" is quite what you're after when you're fighting the Destroying Angel himself.
On a complete tangent... Why the hell did they make the ANGEL of death a boss in DRACULA'S castle? It just don't make sense. Oh well.

Okay.... The rest of the song, yeah, it's good, but straight-up pales in comparison to the flute solo, and I haven't heard much past 2:45 'cuz I keep getting bored and jumping back to the flute solo. Hey, DJP, I don't suppose you have a nifty little PDF of the sheet music for that sitting around, do you?
I'm a flutist and I'd love to be able to play that. So yeah. If you're reading this.... *jumps back to flute solo AGAIN* DOWNLOAD IT NOW! It's badass, and if DJP gets me the sheet music, I will finally be able to prove to the band that flute does indeed kick more ass than tuba. I'll stop typing now, it's distracting me from that AWESOME flute solo. -

Oh yeah, Protricity. You are missing a helluva lot. It evokes quite a creepy and suspenseful mood. Admittedly, it's not too good JUST by itself, but play one of those movies in your head, like mixes like this force me to. Just can't help it, y'know? It gets into your head so well... An Omega metroid and Samus Aran, going at it like never before. The beast's claws leave deep gouges in the Chozo-forged, near-invincible metal, missiles rip chunks of flesh from its organs behind that strange, exoskeletal ribcage. Both fighters become more and more enraged until finally -- BLAM! The beast is dead in a shower of alien blood and bone splinters. Its eight eyes dim, its many hearts cease beating, leaving Samus out of breath, gasping for air inside that claustrophobic Power Suit. And that's the first 15 seconds alone! Hollywood-worthy, I say.

Why didn't I hear the MAgus theme when I played through the Ghost Train on the game? Is that just something that TO put in? In any case, yeah, the mix kicked ass. Downloaded, and even so good as to deserve a review saying "Download this or YOU'LL ride that train next!!"

Actually... The only mix of "Vampire Killer" that I've liked. After that short little violin thing, AmIEvil actually put in a melody line instead of the dissonant buzz on the original NES (that other remixers tried to mimic). Also, Blue Mage, I think this is the stage 1 theme, not the boss theme... Wicked Child's the boss theme. Chikusho Sound Team did a remix of it titled "Wickedest Child", you should check it out. But yeah, awesome mix, downloadage.

Hey Rimfrost, does your media player have a "loop" function? Admittedly, it might be nicer if it were longer, but the end can blend so well into the start that there's really no need. That and it kicks more ass than you. And I never thought I'd ever like punk rock...

Dude... This is just... Horrible, man. Not that it's not good, but... This song wasn't made to be mangled like this. I opened it before I read the reviews because it was a Bubble Bobble mix and.... Man, this is screwed up. And when he was singing gibberish along with the banjo, it sounded like he said something about Mountain Dew.

Well.... It wasn't as "Battle-robot gonna kick some Wily ass" as I expected, but it definitely brought up the image of, say, Megaman and Roll relaxing on a grassy hill staring at the stars after Wily's defeat.
Yes, I am aware that that sounds "romantic" and that Megaman and Roll are brother and sister, but come on...

This is really all I had to say. It really does feel like you're flying around the world in Epoch, looking at all the things from above, so tiny at that height.I love this song. It definitely captured a feeling of exploration, like soaring around and looking at stuff from real real high. Like, from a plane or airship of some sort. Very cinematic feeling to it. -
Well... Okay, "beautiful", yes, but... Zelda? Nope. Just not the same feel. I heard enough melody line to recognize it, but where's that little-Hylian-kid-with-a-crappy-little-wooden-sword-gonna-go-kick-some-evil-pigman-ass feel to it? I mean, c'mon. It has the melody, it's a good piece when you're in the right mood, but... It's just not Zelda!

Well now. That's frickin' AWESOME. Very Metroidy. That and he has brought a melody out of a piece which, like all the SM OST that I've heard, is an ambient. Good job, un-flyable dude.

No, you're not. I mean, after all, 2:42 thru to the end... Yeah, that REALLY carries across the image of seven heroes, transcending even time itself to vanquish an alien beast as it prepares to wipe humanity off the face of the earth. Come on! Where's my big, climactic, heart-pounding, holy-frickin-crap-thats-awesome ending? No, it goes out with a whimper and a fart, not the whistle, bang and lightshow that would do justice to the rest of the piece...Am I really the only one here who thinks the song really suffers due to the ending?
If not for the horrible ending, this piece would be on my hard drive now. Good job on the rest of it though.

Well... As we all know (or at least the lucky few to have seen the review board for "stained glass filth") Goat's the guy who showed me castlevania music kicks. In any case, this is no exception. Great rendition of "Wicked Child", though I think the screechy sound effects around 2:00 could have been done without. I mean, never before has a SOUND made me feel sick. No offense to Goat, of course. Also, a little more distortion on the less-distorted areas would be in order, but all in all... It's a damn good mix.

Man... His remix sounded good though... Too short, as are many of the good remixes. And that's the only flaw. Rest in peace, Avien.
