  1. I only really buy Nintendo consoles, although I did get a Genesis and a Dreamcast at one point I ended up selling them both when I still have all of my Nintendo consoles to this day.

I like Ocarina of Time but I think Twilight Princess is better, with Majora's Mask ranking higher than both of them as my favorite Zelda game of all time. Honestly I think that Ocarina of Time takes too much credit away from the rest of the Zelda series.

  2. I don't wish to add myself among the inevitable mountains of fanboys that Rorschach will no doubt accumulate, but goddamn he is freakin awesome!

Hurm, you say that like being a fan of Rorschach is a bad thing.

  3. Rorschach and Wolvereine spoof those Mac ads with, "I'm a Marvel, and I'm a DC." Very well done and pretty entertaining to anybody who even thinks they might be a comic book/comic book movie fan.

  4. Although I must admit, I LOVED the guys who played Rorschach and Nite Owl II.

If you liked Patrick Wilson and Jackie Earle Haley, you should see Little Children, they were both in that one together.

But anyway... some people have said they were upset about how they changed how Rorschach killed the child abductor. I remember most of that scene from the comics... except how he killed the guy, so how did it do it again?

  5. So the Losties are all stuck in the 70s now? This could turn out to be pretty awesome... I mean it has been kind of fun seeing Sawyer and Miles take on fake names. It is especially delicious hearing Sawyer so expertly use his grifting talents to stay with the trail of lies of how they got to the island in the 70s.

Only thing that has bugged me as of late is that after all these decades, possibly centuries of people living on the island it doesn't have a name. Unless it's name has been conceled by the plot, it has only ever been referred to as "The Island."

  6. Why are sex scenes uncomfortable? I don't get this. Also there's only 1 REAL sex scene. And it's pretty damn short.

Was just saying that if Toadofsky was too hesitant too see the movie because of the blue wang, that he would have plenty of other things to make him shy away from the movie.

There were at least 4 sex scenes in the film.

Jon and Laurie, Dan and Laurie twice, and then the rape scene. In comparison to most of the movies I've seen in the past several years, these sex scenes last much longer and show a lot more than usual. Even outside of these scenes theres some more non-blue wang, man ass, and breasts.

Just trying to say that anybody concerned about nudity will have a lot to worry about in this film, is all.

  7. Dr Manhattan's nudity it more tasteful than it seems like it would be, the uniform glow of his skin kind of camouflages his junk. Even if the blue penis was blurred out you'd still have the numerous quite extended sex scenes, with a rape in there too... which while uncomfortable are (all mostly) important to the story. If those were edited out then you wouldn't get the full picture, and you'd really miss out in the end.

If you're too bashful about seeing it in public then maybe rent the unedited DVD or something, if you can't handle the movie as is then it isn't for you, to be blunt.

  8. I got the distinct impression that Rorschach was supposed to be based on Batman.

Surprisingly most of the Watchmen were originally based off of Charlton Comics characters, and not DC characters. DC bought out Charlton, but still.. the Charlton created characters inspired Moore to come up with the Watchmen.

    Rorschach - The Question

Nite Owl I and II - The first two versions of the Blue Beetle

    Dr Manhattan - Captain Atom

    The Comedian - Peacemaker

    Ozymandias - Thunderbolt

Though these origins don't throw out the idea that you can see aspects of Batman in most of these non-super powered heroes.

  9. I was worried the most about how the new ending was going to go over, but it went over much better than I could have imagined. The comic ending had more shock value, but when it's all said and done it still went over practically identically.

If there was a drinking game for this movie, you'd get plastered fast if you had to drink after every wang shown.

  10. How was this person able to put pieces through each other?

Hacks. No seriously, probably a USB Gecko or Ocarina or whatever they're called to hack the game. It can allow a lot of things like unrestricted camera angles as well as completely free placement of stage pieces. Really surprised that Smash Service accepted a hacked stage.

  11. I'm certainly going to go see this movie on opening night, and I just can't wait! I mean I would be seeing it on a midnight showing the night before but my friends have plans, and while I'll miss the costumes and the crazy fans it'll still be worth it.

Guess I should go and get my ticket tomorrow... I mean after all Watchmen so far as outsold 300 4 to 1 in advanced ticket sales, this one is going to be big!

I have my highest hopes for this one, and I'm only really skeptical for the ending, I'm not sure that it'll be on as epic a scale as the comics were.

Haven't made a movie thread in a good long time, last time was some time before UnMod got shut down. I guess this'll just become a general Watchmen discussion thread after the film comes out, but still... try and label yo spoilers.

  12. Everybody confuses the new Tron movie with the Tron game they made a while back, and I don't blame them. The game is Tron 2.0 and since that name was already taken they had to name the new movie TR2N. Despite the stupid name I am glad theres going to be a sequel Tron, as it was an obscure part of my childhood.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Pixar handling this movie? I had heard that the live action bits in Wall-E were in preparation for TR2N.

  13. Are you sure? I also thought my phone was incapable of using custom-made sounds & tones until I found (unofficial) software like BitPim that could load said files right onto my phone, without restrictions.

Ohh cool, thanks for the heads up. I just ordered a data cable off Amazon for my phone so hopefully I can use this software to my advantage.

  14. Ugh, I remember this game from when I was a kid... HATED IT. Though always willing to give a game another shot. Looks great from the little I'm seeing.

Ditto, I rented this game way back when, and I really didn't enjoy it all that much... when I was that young my attention span was too short for this game, and I just fed everything I had to my blob at the start and got bored quickly. But even back then I had to admit that it had some potential, and this new remake looks very promising.

  15. Most of my ringtones are from anime intros, because I like to match them with my current wallpaper, which is usually the current anime I'm obsessed with.
