I love how this remix transitions from one theme to another. The Metal Gear Solid games have some of the best music ever, and whipping up a remix like this where some of the most iconic themes blend together in harmony is no small feat.
Well done.

Agreed.
Very relaxing piece we have here. And I agree with what others said about the organ; it really adds that certain something which makes the mix more than "just" a nice, acoustic song. I actually wish there would have been more organ.

Another nice mix of chiptunes and modern sounds.
The arrangement isn't the most daring one, at least not in the first half of the mix, but it is very enjoyable.

Oldie but goldie. Very well balanced mix of chiptune and modern elements.
For some reason, the part around 1:10 gives me a FF7 vibe, probably due to the synth used.
The long silence at the end of the track bothers me a bit, though, especially when this song is part of a playlist.

Reading "jazz/dnb" in the write-up, my first reaction was "wtf", but then I remembered that this is also something that describes one of my favourite tunes on this site: Jungle Jazz. And, surely enough, I fell in love with it within 20 seconds.
The part around 2:30 has a very Ridge Racer Type 4 vibe to it, IMO.
Well done, jazz or not.

Is it just me or is the volume on this a bit low?
Descent has always been a goldmine for remixes, and this is just further proof of that. The synth, the drums, the paino, the guitar; all of it meshes really well and creates a very enjoyable soundscape. The part around 3:00 is simply amazing.
Good stuff, man.

Not a big fan of the intro; I wish the song would start "bigger", if that makes any sense (i.e. power from the very first second on).
Synth is nice, as is its solo around the 2 minute mark.

Great solo piano piece. Has none of the overboarding, hitting the keys with the entire length of your forearm stuff, so it is right up my alley.

In my opinion, this hits exactly the sweet spot between chiptune and modern sound. Very well done.

Not much of a fan of the weird guitar sound in the intro; reminds me of a cassette tape that's damaged.
Just like ryankeeton, I really like the wah parts around 2:45, and the "voice sample" following is a nice touch.
Climax around 4:50 is intense. Good stuff.

I can only repeat what many posters before me said: very cute and upbeat remix with a piano that's sometimes too high.
Personally, I also thought that the ending was a bit too abrupt.

Really nice idea with the 8-/16-bit styles. Synth solo around 2:00 is insane, awesome, and awesomely insanely awesome.

Very somber arrangement; it sets out to create a rather sad atmosphere, and it manages to do so easily.
Not that big of a fan of the vocals, to be honest, though I can't exactly pinpoint what I do not like about them. Maybe it is the part around 2:00 that just sounds a bit too nasal for me.

Starts out with the green grass/blue sky feeling mentioned earlier and goes into almost prog-rock-ish territory in the end (the weird, spaced out 70s kind of prog rock, not whatever might use that name today).
Personally, I rather liked the radio bit at the very end.

Awesome.
The intro (as well as the breakdown later on) with the pinball/arcade/mall background noise is a very neat idea, and the the bassline coming in a few moments later is great.
Have to say that most of the singing actually sounds more 90s than 80s to me, with the exception of the chorus which is all 80s, though that is also due to the awesome guitar work.
Solo starting around 3:10 is badass, too.
Catchy as all hell. More, please.

Pretty much this. I was delighted to see Juese Belmont on the front page of OCR, but listening to this remix of the original OLR tune, I was disappointed. As many of the previous posters mentioned, the vocals lack punch and often drown in the instruments, in particular in the ORLY/YARLY section.
And considering that the vocals/lyrics have always been my favourite thing about this (back when it was first released on OLR, I fell so in love with it that I the entire text of the song got stuck in my brain in no time and has not left it since), I guess you can see where my disappointment comes from.

I must be the only one who does not get a particularly sad vibe from this.
It actually reminds me of some of the music you'd find on a Katamari Damashii soundtrack (with the exception of the climax, I guess).
Anyway, beautiful piece. Also, diggin' the whistling.

Very intense remix. The production values are through the roof.
For some reason, this makes me think of the Xenogears OST. Which is always a good thing.

The wobble in the beginning goes on for far too long IMO; personally, I find it incredibly annoying.
The "cleaner" part starting around the 1:00 mark is actually quite awesome; it reminds me of mid-90s PS1 music.
With the siren coming in around 1:40, we're right back into annoyance territory, though.
The following breakdown and build-up starting around 2:10 is very awesome again; same goes for ~2:50 onwards.
Dunno, but to me, it seems that everything about this remix is good except for the wubwub and the siren. However, taking that out would result in a very different song; certainly not one to be qualified as dubstep.

For what it's worth, I never had much of a problem picking out the source in this one.
Very interesting and enjoyable arrangement, though I do agree with the posters who mentioned that the ending is a little too abrupt.

I've been listening to this almost every day for two months now, and I am still not tired of it.
This is incredible. Love the vocals, especially the chorus.
