  1. Quite the optimist, are we? I think we're taking the whole project idea too far... The point of these projects is to band together groups of remixers for a common soundtrack or theme to learn from each other and to have fun doing it.

The auditions have only been open for 3 days... Give it more time than that. Patience and perseverance is what makes a project successful.

But you do have a point about one thing. Maybe because the tracklist is so large, I shouldn't judge so strictly...

I just want to bring out the full potential in everyone.

  2. You definitely have a talent for trance music. Though they could use slight refinement, your synth choice is very clean and the instruments work well together.

    Why thank you. :)

The song seems to overall be very "trebley", and in certain areas (especially the beginning where the hi-hat/shakers come in) it creates a noticable frequency gap. Toning down the hi-hats/shakers just a bit may help this.

That's got to be the compressor...

Arrangement wise I really enjoyed this. I think it has enough breaks from the main melody to not be considered too repetitive, and your harmonies and chord progression keep things interesting. Just curious, how long did it take you to make this? And what programs are you using?

hmmm.. 3 hrs overall... And I use FL Studio :)

  3. Hey guys!

Here's a remix I did from the Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 game.

    Original Source:

    http://www.e-concerto.net/music098273/Gatebreaker.mp3

This is the original source. It's called "Gatebreaker" and it plays as the intro theme as well as the character select theme.

    Remix:

This remix is called "Next in Line at the Tenkaichi Budokai". I know, I'm bad at coming up with names...

Well, hope you enjoy! Any comments and/or suggestions wanted. :)

  4. Why does everyone give me grief about my requirements, lol? The reason they're required is because I need people to have an understanding of how the system works, not for quality, know what I mean? If you submitted something and it got rejected, it doesn't stay up long, which is why I need it to be an accepted one. So I guess the requirement is proof that you understand the submission rules for OCR (ThaSauce does their submission the same way).

EDIT: Well, after I gave it some thought, I guess if your audition is good enough, there shouldn't be any problem getting you on the project.

  5. I'm going to start writing the tracklist, even though auditions won't start for a couple more months. You guys can suggest certain tracks be on the project and/or request songs NOT to be remixed for the project. Here are the facts you'll need for the tracklist:

    Games covered:

    • Sonic Adventure
    • Sonic Adventure 2 (By vote)

    Project Style:

Electronically made, i.e. techno, rap, industrial, electro classical, etc. Basically said, anything created on a computer.

With your suggested song, make sure you state which game it's from (SA or SA2), the name of the OST track (the out of game name), and/or the name of the level (and character on some levels) or event that the requested song is found.

Also, we're still needing interested people....
