It's only the Kid Icarus song that's too happy. Some other songs are pretty bouncy or content, yes. But that song literally sounds like it was written by a man who smiles all the time.

You're right. And it's to this end that, while the judges do not enjoy seeing threads disagreeing with them, they realize that it is not their right to stop them. I don't think the dude's stuff was good enough to make it, and I still like the mixes and agree with most of the judges decisions. But I'll defend mine and everyone else's right to actually disagree with them until I die.

So... does it seem to anyone else like Ike's Up+B is useless for recovery purposes? I mean, he seems to come down pretty hard there, whereas most other characters just attack on the way up and then freefall (making recovery much simpler).

Except our remixes don't sample the original straight up, which is a pretty obvious difference.
Saying there's a difference between direct sampling and using a melody is just baseless semantics.

That's odd, because my favorite thing Daft Punk usually isn't the riffs themselves, but the way they add their own vocals and build on the original riffs as the song goes on. I definitely don't think the sampling takes away from their creativity. I think the fact that theyof HBFS and still made it rock is evidence of their talent.
Not to mention all of us peeps here on this remixing site really have nothing to complain about.

Seriously, being able to use the hookshot recovery well in Melee is quite a feat; but it's so very easy to counter, it's kind of a waste of time.
