  1. Thank you both for the insightful feedback.

The thought was to reproduce the original sounds, as to invoke the feelings that we players get when we hear the original track, but throw in some flavor.

Regarding the beats, absolutely. Definitely very 'mechanical' and needs more 'life'. As soon as thing settle down (life-wise), I'm going throw more time at this.

  2.

I eagerly await Communit MM9 Remixes. I know that some of the tracks for MM9 are off the chain coming from the system. I have the MM9 OST and the arranged version as well. The arranged tracks have left to be desired. :-\

  3. Thanks dude. The outtro is made so i can easily mix it w/ other songs. Likewise the intro is lengthy. When you say weak, do you mean like volume or weak as in crappy?

This started as an example for the community for my mixing project. I've tried to contact a few remixers but have not heard back. oye!

Here is the link to my post regarding this unofficial project.

  4. I love SoR soundtrack, and this is one of my favorite songs in it, but...

The recording quality is poor... sometimes it seems that you got too far away from the mic.

From what I could understand, your lyrics... *sigh*... suck! (I'm not a native English speaker, so understanding rap and such is not that simple task) Also the rhymes seemed quite bad ones!

However, your idea is good! I prefer VG remixes without lyrics, but I have already done exceptions! ;)

I'd really like if you take a simple non-rap remiwx approach for this song, but it's your choice! I'll be waiting for new versions!

    Damn dude, don't hold back!

  5. DJ Friendly means at least four 64 beat phrases leading up to the main body of the song. Then a similar outtro time frame, gradually stripping out the layers gradually. Ideally the intro/outro should equate to about 2 minutes to allow for very smooth transitions. This is pretty important to EDM djs that mix for a long while.

most of the tracks here are less than 3 minutes long and require really intense looping and song manipulation that would hamper the flow of the mix. I spin House, trance, breaks and D&B.

    ^^^ There u go.

  6. Thanks for the support guys. I had no time this weekend to work on this, though i did spend time going through some potential tracks. I'm going to have to edit a lot of tracks because there is little to no lead or end mix for the mixes. A lot end very strangely.

None the less i'll post a quick video of what i've done as well as an mp3 download. One major shortfall is that my source is MP3 so recompressing the mp3s will yield less quality. I'll aim for 320Kb/s AAC to maximize quality.

  7. You might want to check my mixes but most of the ones I have on the site arent't exactly club-friendly. Trancy nonetheless. Maybe this?

Intro is ~25 seconds, 64 beats

    Outtro is the same.

that would be some ***quick*** mixing but i can work with it.

You know, this would make an awesome site project.

Get 10+ people to make a mix and then you could put them all together like that. Blind would be a very good person to ask to help you out there, his trance is the shizzle.

I agree. i'm trying to find the right songs. I'm only 400+ into OC001 Pack. :( it takes time to go through these tracks, which i why i posted.

a LOT of great talent around here. I can't wait to make the first mix CD. imagine, non-stop mixed music. I'm an EDM dj and i love mixes more than stand alone tracks.
