  1. the track is not very outstanding; the piano at the beginning is quite well, but the overall sound quality damages the piece substantially. What's more, the tracks lacks ideas beyond the choice of instruments, all of which do what they are likely to. The ending is the part with the most problems: essentially we are forced to wait without hearing anything of interest from 2:20 on after the guitar solo. That said, the combination of instruments is generally well chosen and linked (by construction of what sound to occur when within the bar). I dislike the guitar's sound, and the fact that it comes back in a different key at the end does not help that. Yet, if Mazedude instead had stuck to the (and maybe some more other) sounds and trimmed the piece, it could have been much better.

  2. as stated before this has a very midi-ish sound to it, in all respects: this kind of style allows for quite some instrumental variation without sounding awkward. As a result it is very subjective with respect to if you like the combination of instruments. In terms of structure, the song misses out and turns out very predictable, but luckily, its overlength is modest. In all, the idea of using the Goron theme as a loop is fine, but the overall experience was a little flat for me: I'm missing more from he original than I'm getting. So no midi-magic I must say but if the theme is fresh to you, you might well give it a try.

  3. this song doesn't work very well for me. It becomes very repetitive (and calling this a style doesn't change that) and the voices aren't really fit for either amusement or serious song support. Unfortunately, they get increasingly important as the track develops- which it actually does the way it is supposed to (that is, by switching parts of a loop on and off and adding new things once in a while). At around 2:20, when multi-layered voices set in, the weakest part reveals since the parallel singers fail to make a unity, so it feels like a croud of drunk party people. Well, that might be intended :< but sober it's not much of a treat.

  4. i really like this song as it does so many things right: the tonality is just off'beat' enough, the sounds/ instruments work well even though they are quite basic and the harsh part at the end comes in but does not take longer than it should. Actually, some 20 secs of development might have been in there, but really it is already very fine as it is and more noise might have forced a change of atmosphere. As it is, the piece is very fine!

  5. Hi,

I could use an idea here: I love your remixes, but then, not all of them equally :-P So I listen to them all, deleting those I do not like. Of course, this doesn't work with the torrent if it is to download the next chunk of files (i.e. 01601 to 01700). How can I get the new files from the torrent and still be able to delete those I do not like? Obviously, I could just download each new track individually, but I'd rather help OCR save bandwidth. Is anyone doing this same thing and knows a good way to do it? One more detail: I do need to be able to delete the files/make a set of "good" files in an extra folder for use with my portable player.
