  1. If I wasn't inbetween things at the moment, I'd give you a better appraisal - of the three I listened to, THE REVIVAL was actually pretty decent and in need of the least improvement. The song itself doesn't do much for me, its like something you hear between levels that have the best music, but the instruments and the mixing and its overall effect on me, the listener are pretty good.

I'd kinda like to hear more cool pads, sound effects, and maybe some cymbal rolling inbetween parts myself, I think that would round it out better.

Yeah, this stuff was slapped together this morning, since I'm trying a different method of recording the guitars. I used it on a few of the songs and made these versions so far. The mixing and such will take place later after I finish the SRB2 soundtrack.

  2. If you remember us from about a year ago, we apologise. Yeah, it wasn't very good, but we've learned a bit since then.

With that in mind, we present you with a few covers. Keep in mind that they're still WIPs, we appreciate any feedback and scorn lack of constructive criticism.

  3. The riffs are cool, but it's a little low quality sounding for me. Could possibly just be the speakers here, but record directly through the amp. Also, check the tuning on your guitar by harmonics, cos it has a little bit of that wah. If you don't know how, PM us and I'll tell you. It's pretty cool, though.

  4. The intro to Tyrian one sounds decidedly cheesy and lo-fi. Once the songs starts, it seems to lack drive from the leads. Drums are pushed a little too far back. I think a little more spacing out your soundfield would help with panning and whatnot.

Whenever something is working alone without backing harmonies, they sound oh so very bare and brittle. No advice on how to help you there.

I don't know the original, so I'm just going to comment on going back to a sort of 'chorus' with no real changes to any part. Might want to add a little something different the second time through.

Thanks, what are you listening to the song on? Surround sound system? Since these songs are only demos, we still have plenty of room to rework, I'll have Axel post the original so you can hear and compare later.
