I don't know why, but it's always annoyed me, and I found that trying to get tanks to run over stuff in RA2 was really fiddly. Ah well. I guess I could always bring out the editor...
-
I also replaced all of Inon Zur's shitty music. I have a lot of aphex twin music in the game directory now [Drukqs for the battles and Selected Ambient Works for everything else ].
Sad, though. I expected much better from Inon Zur.

One thing that has always deterred me from the CnC series is the stats and weapon behaviour; for example, it takes a tank about 7 shots to kill one infantry (and I remember, when I was playing RA2 just 4 conscripts would be about enough to take out a tank). Is it still like that?
And how are the rushes? Because they were really annoying in the previous games.

offtopic I know, but...I remember hearing about that game before; specifically it's music. Apparently some of the tracks were written by a then-13-year-old Owen Pallett, a Canadian artist who goes by the name Final Fantasy. I had no idea that the game had been released for free, thanks for pointing that out!
Man, make sure you run it through DosBox as well. You won't regret it. I remember this as being the first game that actually grabbed my attention with the music; from the sci-fi military tracks, down to the electronic beats.

Traffic Department 2192. Great story, great music, great humour. Meh gameplay. But it's free now, so go download it.

I'll vote, but I need to read everything first! If I get my current workload cleared I will... urgh... someone remind me, please!

Well, if you wanna purchase it online, http://astore.amazon.com/overclocked02-20/detail/B000VO8O6W, we receive 6% to pay for bandwidth, and it doesn't cost you anything extra.
Thanks! I've never checked but can I have things bought from amazon.com shipped to the UK? Or will it have to go through another party?

Awww, man. I seriously wanted to go to this as well, but couldn't. Sounds like I missed out on a lot of fun. Just, err, out of interest, anywhere I might be able to pick up the album?

Jesus christ why am I thinking so hard about this? I can't decide...

Would it be preferable to have a "portfolio" of tracks to show where some are performed live while others have been done on a computer? Also is it best to get into lots of different styles, or to concentrate on one (while not necessarily neglecting the others, just not spending as much time focusing on) and becoming master of that one particular style?

This topic is pretty interesting to me, seeing as music is what I really want to study at University/wherever when I'm older... I've heard music can be a pretty unstable career, so I'll probably end up eating 5 pence ramen three times a day and writing on a cardboard box. Yay.
Unfortunately, being a year junior, I don't have any advice to say. Well, there's one thing. Many, many people have told me to join mod developers/indie game teams to get experience and show that you're able to produce music to a specification and to good standard. Seems logical.

Yup yup, so if you've say made some music for a video game, then that can go into the non-remix area. In fact, I've seen things that aren't even game music in there. Just make sure you don't distribute anything that's being sold.

Thanks for all your comments.
I just wanted to say that the movie won an audience award at the Ose ce Court french film festival in Bischheim near Strasburg !
Next step : the festival "7 days for the 7th art" in Colmar, France. The movie will be screened on wednesday october 15th at 8pm.
And last but not least : the International Short Film Festival in Uppsal, Sweden ! The movie will be screened 2 times on october 24th and 25th !
I hope to see some ocremixers there !

Zombie Panic! Source. Eternal Silence. My two favourites.

Unfortunately, everything that I had in mind has already been said. And that's not much! I just wanted to say, to everyone here trying to get into the business: Good luck. It's really, really, hard work.

A game called TimeSplitters 3, I really liked the music in it. From there, I started to give more attention to music from video games, anime and films. I really enjoyed it, so, it seemed logical to go this way. There's no chance I'm going to waste my life doing something I don't enjoy, even if it makes me rich.

Jacko teh Wacko is no moar. Yay! Well, in Florida at least... but being disbarred certainly can't look good if you're trying to practice law somewhere else?
Videogame reviews fro FOX news.I can see that happening. Well, shit.

I still have my N64 and 40 games under my sofa... from time to time I feel tempted to get it out and play it.

Wow, this looks pretty awesome. I wish him and the team the best of luck...

Goodnight, sweet prince.

The song...
...was nowhere near as good as "You Know My Name". In my opinion the best recent Bond themes have all been when David Arnold is involved in the songwriting (not just the actual movie score). He wasn't involved in "Another Way to Die", so I guess that explains it. It's the weakest Bond theme I've heard.

Yeah, we have some plans for future libraries, though at the moment ethnic woodwinds are not on the main list. This is because Bela D Media has already put out a couple ethnic wind libraries-
http://beladmedia.com/index-1.html
We would do them if they were part of a themed collection, though. For example, "Classical Instruments of Japan" or something.
I would love to see a library of similar quality instruments from the far east- perhaps a "Sounds of the Orient" package may do nicely?

w00t! I'll be able to buy it over here in England, right?
Those samples are awesome. While I'd use something like Quantum Leap's RA for more general ethnic scoring, I would definitely use this a lot as well. The sound quality is superb.

Excellent work, there.
Any chance you'll be letting us know what your next video will be on?
