  1. Why is it that people think that all electronic music takes no skill at all to make? Is it because there's no physical instruments sometimes? Is it because it's programmed, and not recorded? It's like people think there's a magic button that you press to instantly come up a 7+ minute electronic track. I don't get it.

I mean, I'm an electronic musician, but I also play drums, baritone, trombone, I'm teaching myself piano, and electronic music does require just as much knowledge in theory and etc as any other genre. And it's not like you're using no instruments, synthesizers are still instruments...

It's mildly annoying when people say this, but where the hell does this sentiment come from?

Well said, I do agree on this. I've been gradually learning theory for electronic, and I've had people asking me "Why the hell do you need theory? Can't you just pull some awesome beat from midair and base it off that?" For what I want to do? No, I can't.

Well, some electronic music DOES take no skill to make. I'm not referring to any specific genre, I'm talking about specific songs. When a song is literally a common chord progression in a preset synth playing over drumloops for 7+ minutes, the "no skill" label is completely accurate. The real shame is that songs of that nature tend to color the entire spectrum of electronica in the minds of some, making it seem to them that all electronic music requires no skill.

Also a good point, unfortunately. This sort of music seems to permeate the music industry at the moment, my main irks being the Black Eyed Peas (especially will.i.am and his many questionable methods of making music) and people like Justin Bieber (Who can apparently sing well and grab the occasional guest and make records with shit music). On the flip side, there are many musicians who are unsung, and should garner more attention from their work.

  2. I DO NOT LIKE SONY. AT ALL. They ruined Sonic Heroes. >(

Their headphones are good, but I'm soon replacing those ANYWAY with better ones.

And Sony has always been annoying and controlling with how they've done stuff. Just look at RE:3 and RE: Code Veronica. Those were title swaps because they essentially blackmailed Capcom into keeping the RE series on their console. Capcom fought back later by going to the Gamecube the next game. They ALSO forced SEGA to reprogram Sonic Heroes IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DEVELOPMENT for a console it was NEVER DESIGNED FOR, thus ruining the game.

I do not like Sony. Never have, never will, until they wake the hell up and realize they can't control everything.

  3. I like that TM usage is unlimited.

I don't like how retarded Bianca is.

I love that the trading system has been upgraded and that it's much faster.

Can't wait until my friend gets back in town and we can use each other's systems to get Zorua and Zoroark!

TM usage is somewhat helpful, but I'm not too fond of the whole "I WANT POWER but I'm going to be cool and smart about it" vibe from Cheren, who is also a bit.....condescending. They did great with N as the bad guy though.

And aren't those two in the same evolutionary family? So you won't need to trade for them.........unless I'm getting names confused.

Anyway, I love the stuff they've done with this generation. While the starters look dumb (with the exception of Snivy) they all evolve into pretty cool forms later on. Same with a lot of other Pokemon, but some of them are pretty cool and it's not enough to actually kill the game. The music is nice, but I do still hope there's more to be heard, stuff tends to sound the same after a bit.

Oh, and Victini is friggin' powerful, so if you can, grab it.

  4. Um, my remix "Out Of Antidote" was done entirely in Garage Band with all default samples and effects. GB has more to it than you might realize.

You're kidding me. I had no clue until I listened to it after you brought that up, but now I'm recognizing some of the instruments. Nice job then. But I do have a much older version of Garageband, and I have been saving for Logic.

Who mentioned my secret plans for a sequel album? Who dared to tell them about The Missingno Tracks: Special Pikablu Edition?

That's right, I already had the name figured out. I had it YEARS AGO (right after this album's name was decided).

Oops, looks like I'm unveiling secrets already. Silly me.

But in all honesty, there's enough material within the games to create multiple albums, this shouldn't simply stop here if this is what we get. It's too epic for that.
