Ice Cap is a pretty simple tune, and it's been covered a lot, so finding ways to make it unique and interesting seemed like a good challenge. At the moment the track is relatively short (<3 min.) but I don't know if it necessarily needs anything else.. I'd love feedback on whether or not this track is worth pursuing for possible submission to the site. Thanks! Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYxlqTpZ-24 Edits made since first mod review: Added 1 1/2 minutes of audio - 2:07-3:46 is all new Removed drums from last 20 seconds to give it a more outro feel Added reverb to percussion More conservative panning, melodic instruments mostly centered, no hard rights/lefts Added flute to 3:48-4:06 to differentiate the section from opening Didn't switch out the snare because I like it but if it's really problematic I'll change it
  2. Here's a jazzy remix of Redial from Bomberman Hero that dates back to last year. (I always seem to be finding old music I forgot about.) This genre is definitely not something I'm familiar with but nevertheless I'm quite pleased with how some elements of this song turned out. Of course, I'd love to hear any feedback. http://soundcloud.com/kinetikai/hello-operator Original:
  3. Alright, so this is just a bit of fun. I love Blast Corps, and I love the strange banjo-disco tunes that pop up from time to time such as Skerries or Beeton Tracks. So, since I had some time to kill, I decided to take my favorite track from the game, the wonderfully relaxing Havoc District, and send it through a banjo and organ blender, thus stripping it of any subtlety or ambience it had to offer. As I said, this is just a bit of fun. Yeehaw! http://soundcloud.com/kinetikai/havoc-at-the-hoedown Original:
  4. This idea was scrapped together over the last few hours during a bout of rampant insomnia and was created almost entirely whilst lying down. (Yay laptops!) I love Lost Odyssey and I've I love the music in the capital of Gohtza; a simple, dark, slightly menacing tune with some wonderful chord changes. This arrangement is neither dark nor menacing. I imagine it as the theme of the first rays of sunlight that slowly envelop the city. As the ice begins to melt, the city slowly stirs to life, and things start to look a little better. I'd love to get some initial opinions before I continue working. http://soundcloud.com/kinetikai/the-first-rays-of-light-wip Things I know: The drums go nowhere for the most part. The whole song really only consists of two sections - the verse and chorus, so to speak. The bass is kinda boring. Original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mckwOekJzpM
  5. Thanks! If it sounds okay, I'll probably leave the live piano idea for another day or another mix and focus on improving what I have here. Any other thoughts on how to better the piece?
  6. Arrangement from Aero The Acrobat in piano and violin. Something I've been sitting on for a while. Thinking of redoing it with live piano. Thoughts? http://soundcloud.com/kinetikai/klowns-aero-the-acrobat Original track
