  1. Man I haven't rented a game since... The SNES/Genesis days. Though then again back then when I was much younger I didn't have the financial ability to really do anything but rent.

Oh wait, I remember renting Space Channel 5 for the DC at one point, and ended up buying it.

  2. Awesome songs in the game...if anyone know that NES game im talkin about...does any1 have any remixes of them songs...i downloaded the midi's and wudnt mind hearing som remixes if theyre out there!

You could always try moving this thread to the request area and see if any remixers drop a response.

  3. Totally couldn't get out of my mind that Walle was Jhonny 5.

    Haha I noticed that too.

Just got back from seeing it with my 3yr old and GF and it was a very enjoyable experience. I'd definitely see it again just to watch M-O continually pitch a fit cleaning up :).

  4. I often find myself playing the following probably on a monthly basis:

    Shining Force 2 (Sega Genesis)

I just love this game. I enjoy the combat music, the decent level of strategy needed, and who doesn't like watching a master monk both pummel a enemy to death AND heal a team mate for an impressive amount?

    Landstalker (Sega Genesis)

The game had nice graphics for it's time, the game music was memorable (for me), and even though the lack of important shadowing for the floating platforms were frustraiting, it wasn't beyond the point of me breaking my controller and giving up.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles (Sega Genesis)

The perfect 2D sonic game IMO. I was just a very well done game to me. The stages were fast pace, the emerald stages were challenging but not challenging enough for me to not get a perfect in every one ;). The game was just 'complete' to me.

    Super Dodge Ball (NES)

Seriously do I need to explain this?! Randy from team USA, air super attack! Whack the opposing team members across the screen 2 to 3 times and still beating the hell out of them if they land on your side of the court.

    Ogre battle (SNES, PSX)

The game is great! Play any alignment you want (as long as you know Canopus's unit is the best way to raise your rep while liberating towns), the ability to pair up seraphims and undead dragons or any large combination of the different characters in the game allows you to play it in so many different ways.

    Mega Man 7? (SNES)

I fell in love with the boss music. Referring to the original 8 bosses, not the Wily stages. Turbo man, shade man, etc.

    River City Ransom (NES)

    "Barf!"

  5. 26 Here and when I still had the Wii here I only played Wii Sports Baseball on it until I hit pro rating of roughly 1200 and kept getting my ass handed to me. Beyond that it didn't see more then maybe an hour of use a day.

I still have my Dreamcast, DS and my PC which I spend most of my time playing Guitar Hero 3, WoW, or just making games on.

  6. Sega does what Nintendon't!

Haha, that was just plain clever :).

Cartoony violence is always a welcome change from video game 'realism' gore. Though I'm a little confused to see this in someones Wii collection in between Boom Blox and Carnival Games.

  7. Nice to know a DS remake is on its way. Hopefully it turns out better than the GBA one did.

    Amen to that.

I downloaded this album the other night. It's a great trip down memory lane for me, being Super dodge Ball is one of my most favorite games of all time... Along with Landstalker, Shining force 2, and Sonic 3 w/ knuckles.

  8. If I remember right, I believe the prank that was pulled when I was a high school senior was having a bunch of chicken released in the school.

I always wondered if pouring a ton of jell-o mix in the school pool would of resulted in anything.

Man I can't believe I graduated in 2000. Where the heck did the time go :(

  9. Interesting thread to say the least...

I do understand what you're saying Ghettoflame. I had nearly cried when my best friends wife thought Ocarina of Time was the original Zelda back in the N64 days.

Granted the only reason I feel I agree with the original post is because it reminds me that I'm getting older, and NOT happy about it. I'm only 26 now and was 5 or so when the NES came out. :)

  10. I'm worried that Nintendo won't ever release S3&K on VC. If the worse happens, they'll just release S&K, and not put up the proper version we all know and love.

Ugh, to this day I still have trouble playing S&K by itself... It doesn't feel right without taking down the death egg before mushroom hill zone. :)

  11. So hey I just picked up my copy as I decided to go a day earlier thinking it may already be on shelves. Thank god as I saw 3 others picking it up and the last one is all mine. Still at work but nonetheless glad to have taken a bit of my lunch break to get it.

Now here's the kicker more or less... I just realized I'm flooded with titles. Already got Persona 1 & 2, now P3:FES, MGS:2 and 3 to try out, Valkyrie Profile, and last but not least Parasite Eve, (as that friend of mine was also giving ithem away to my surprise).

He won't give me any of the gradius games (god damn it) but the other two were fine with me along with the other two games he gave.

Now the biggest challenge for me is to balance my time wisely to make sure none of it gets in my more important affairs as well as getting the most out of the games.

You my friend have a LOT of games to play. :)

Out of curiosity when you do start playing the persona series, are you the kind of person who would start from the first one?
