  1. I'm not sure why I haven't commented on this one - it's probably one of my favorite guitar pieces if not my favorite.

I love those drums; they're fun to play for sure.

I never heard the source before this; to be honest, I didn't even know Xenogears existed before this mix. Went to download the album after I learned it was part of an album and absolutely loved it!

Anyways about the mix, I always preferred this one on a late night drive. Really, just anywhere dark period. It's a very moody mixes and I can very easily get entranced by it.

Awesome job, Fishy! Easily my favorite from you! Or at least tied with Beneath the Canopy if anything.

  2. This is freaking awesome so far.

Let me just say that ProtoDome is now officially my favorite Jazz mixer on this entire site.

Home Is Where the Luvdisc Is... is my favorite thing. Ever. Without a doubt my favorite Pokemon mix. Ever.

Freaking awesome job on this, overall. I literally can not find a single track I do not like. Except Jigglypuff choir because i freaking hate that stupid pi...nk.. puff...ball.. zzzzzz

  3. I really like this mix.

I was really hoping for an arrangement of the FR/LG arrangement, because IMO that just kicks more butt in every single way possible. But it's pretty much the same, overall. And this kicks more butt than both versions.

It's not my favorite from Fishy, (when it comes to his straight up rawk mixes, I still prefer "Who's That Child"), but this pleases me as a big time fan of the source. The ending section with all the synths really brings this song to an awesome close.

    Rock on!

  4. I just wanna say :48 is so far my favorite song off the album. Just from what I've heard.

Though not sure how I'm gonna feel about the "dadada's" I keep hearing.

Or maybe they're not and I just need to grab my headphones.

This album made me pumped. Like 100x more than I was before..

  5. I did have the goal of catchin 'em all with Platinum, but with the release of B/W I might just give up. Or maybe just still try with Platinum.. but no way I'm trading in 600 of these things. No way in hell.

I actually just started working again (after 4 months of NOTHING), so I'm gonna start buying games again hopefully, and this will probably be the first. Personally, HGSS left a bad taste in my mouth. I went back to Platinum after just beating it for Nostalgias sake. But B/W looks like Platinum x1000. Hella awesome : D

I think I already have a Celebi, so I could care less for the event. Yeah, I'm not hardcore about the Pokeman or anything. I just like having little pointless tasks to do when I'm bored. : D

  6. Not sure where I found the piano, hah, but I will try the compression. The underwater feeling was completely by accident. But I was thinking about compression on it. And to get rid of some sort of white noise I hear on it...

Thank you for the feedback, though (especially from another PMD fan :D). I know my post is kind of hectic. I just had a problem putting this up; was constantly trying to improve small pointless things while uploading. I'll just suck it up and leave it here though.

  7. Ok.. so I wasn't sure if this was ok since what I'm really trying to see right now is if this is musically "ok"... but it's worth of shot.

So I've been working with FL for a while now - well sort of. Maybe about 2 months or so.

I've mostly been messing around with everything musically, and reading the Composition forum for information almost daily, lol. I just started this today pretty much. I didn't really even feel it was even WIP material..

I'm really just trying to figure out if the ideas are good here.. or maybe is there too much or not enough? Something I really want to know before I continue on putting more and more ideas down. I feel like this sort of information might be in the Music Composition forum.. but I can't find it. :/

    Anyways..

    mix: http://tindeck.com/listen/mcvo

    updated sort of

    i actually forgot a source:

plan on using that more than what is in it now.

edit: Ahhhhhh, I don't know why the hell I rushed here. I completely forgot I could just ask the other forum. :/ I'm always reading Guides/Tutorials lately and forget about that. Sorry :/

  8. The lead melodies themselves never really stick out to me, it's more about everything else.

I can't really tell what it is, but in my opinion this mix is missing a little kick to it (emphasis on little, though). I noticed this while listening in my car today. A little bit of a stronger bass might have helped it a little. But really not too much, this mix benefits from being really light.

Just my opinion though, and what do I know, really? :P

    Love it though. :)

  9. Just as soon as I thought this album couldn't get any better, this comes on. This is absolutely amazing in every single way possible.

THIS is the song that my head exploded too (yes, I was listening out of order xD). I'm afraid to listen to it in public because I'll probably start bustin' moves uncontrollably. Just amazing.

Also I LOVED that chiptune breakdown. As soon as it came up I remember saying "Oh no he didn't".

Also, that piano was sexy as hell. :3

  10. I've been listening to some Cataclysm music lately and I have to say the remakes are not.. well not as great. Maybe I'm just too used to the originals.. but some music (like Orgrimmar for instance) sounds like it's just trying to be extremely epic. It fits the game but I still dig the old music over it really. (Though, I do like the Southern Barrens..)

Maybe it'd be different if I were actually playing the game. Due to school and friends / whatever just didn't have enough time to spend on this game really. I do miss it, though. Cataclysm looks sweet so am kind of jealous of all my friends who still play it. D:
