  1. Brutal! I like it xD creative and enjoyable stuff.
  2. Hey all, I just finished this track and I'm feeling pretty good about it, so I wanted to take it over here and get some constructive criticism to make it even better. The soundscape was inspired a lot by Donkey Kong Country 3. Take a listen and let me know what you think!! http://soundcloud.com/clinton-burgos/ok-ok
  3. That's some good feedback, I see what you're saying about everything you mentioned. Adding emotion to our vocals and keeping on pitch has been an uphill battle, but we've definitely improved from when we started. I definitely see what you're saying, we'll keep trying! Any tips? We're also trying to get a cleaner sound and use more convincing instruments. The piano was just looped, and looking back it was pretty lazy. Interesting that the cymbals made TWT sound messy... I'm always trying to find what's keeping my songs from the quality I find on here. Any tips here would also be much appreciated!
  4. Yeah, that piano/rain atmosphere was intentional. Could you clarify on how we could improve articulation and lyrics? We're trying hard to improve our vocal and lyrical abilities! I'm glad you liked the second one! The lyrics for that one aren't supposed to be very emotional, they're just supposed to paint a picture of this run down dance club, but I could see how that might not be what you enjoy. Did you listen to the other songs? Every song is very different, and I love hearing feedback. Thanks for listening :]
  5. This is a project that began two years ago on the night before Warped Tour ’09. Aiming to create a nostalgic and atmospheric track, we created a song entitled “A Time We All Forgot” under the artist name Tryp. It wasn’t until a year later in the summer of 2010 that we came back to the project, creating two new songs, “Dark Jungle Mind” and “The Senses Repeating”. Regrouping later that summer, we completed the rest of the album in just about two weeks. We started these two weeks with “Time Will Tell”, leading the project in a more “pop” direction than previously planned. We met almost every day to write and record, letting the empty Arizona cans pile around, cranking out one or two songs each time; “City Living (Little Life)” and “Skylit Dream”, “History in the Making”, “Strange Now” and “A Night Like This One”, “Downtown Club”, and lastly “Nostalgic Wind”. The name Wave One refers our ability to think on the same wave of thought in order to collaborate in our song writing. Over the course of the school year, the album had many delays in release due to the long process of creating the art and occasional tweaking of songs. It’s been nearly a year since the album was technically finished, but now it’s more finished, and we both agree that it is a much better album because of the delays. The result of all our efforts is an eclectic and exciting album with no two songs that sound the same, a journey of music. We sincerely hope you like this album as much as we loved making it. Happy listening! http://waveone.bandcamp.com/album/a-time-we-all-forgot PS. Feedback especially on the production and mixing would be much appreciated! :]
  6. Thanks, that's really helpful! I'll try all your tips and see how it sounds.
  7. Whenever I listen to Invaders Must Die ( ), some Pendulum songs, and a lot of modern house. I'm always impressed with how powerful and punchy the drums are, like a short punch to the eardrum. I've tried using a limiter to get this effect, but it's just not the same. Any suggestions?
  8. Thanks! Yeah, I agree, Addictive Drums just isn't doing it for me anymore. Also, I could probably use a little more direction. But thank you for listening, I appreciate it! I'm glad you liked it!
  9. I just made this yesterday, and I really like it. I tried to make it creepy, and have as many unexpected twists as I could cram in, but still have it be catchy. Tell me what you think! http://tindeck.com/listen/chhg
  10. I wasn't sure what to call it, but it sounded very dancey to me. Glad you liked it! x3
  11. This song is mostly house, but with an indie feel and a more aggressive ending. I think it came out pretty good, but I'd love to get some feedback on what I can improve x]
  12. I just finished this song with a friend today. It's one of the more pop songs we've created. It's fairly sparse, with only a sub bass, drums, piano, guitar, synth strings, and vocals. It's a kind of Alt Rock sort of sound. It's got the standard verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus set up. http://www.mediafire.com/file/jitaf8aaavzkv6l/tryp_timewilltell.mp3 I'd love to hear any comments/criticisms. We tried to create a catchy tune, I hope you like it!
