    I play guitar in an instrumental band called Faith in Hours. We have been working hard writing music for a while now and we have recently just released a free EP online of some of our tunes. We have elements of post-rock, metal and even some ambient parts too. If that sounds interesting to you, then please give our tunes and listen and give some feedback too if you have the time, positive or negative, it's all good to hear. ;)

    Well the first post says you should send me a pm with an audition track to claim something, which I'm pretty sure I never got. That post sounded very non-committal too, you've gotta admit :P.

    Everyone here makes a good point. Managing an entire project is a lot of work, so my advice to the TC is to really plan out the project before even bringing it to the table. It's no good making a thread just a few sentences long saying "This could be a cool idea."

    What I would recommend doing is first thinking about how serious you're willing to get with this, 'cause quitting half way will only lose you a lot of respect here. If you're certain you want to go ahead with it, then make a list of all the tracks that are to be remixed and put them neatly into your first post at the very least.

    Will there be any genre limitations? Even if there aren't, say that in the first post. Thought about artwork and perhaps promotional stuff? Be sure to say you want to recruit artists and the like if you do. Got a name for the project? Set up a private forum for remixers? These are all things to think about, and if you want people to latch onto this project you'll need to really flesh it out. I guaruntee you people will start showing interest then.

    I hope this helps and if you go ahead with it, I'll be more than willing to join in. I love Rayman. ;P

    I'm confused, when is the deadline for these tracks? I'd really like to take claim on Bran Bal but I'm in the process of moving house and getting a lot of new gear together so I know I won't be able to start it for another month at least.

    Can I claim it still? Or would it be best to leave it open for someone else who can do it sooner?

    It's cool though, you can have it. You'll probably do a better job than me and there's plenty of other cool stuff to choose from anyways.

    I'm real excited to see what everyone is cooking up. This is my absolute most favourite soundtrack. ;P

    This seems a little underappreciated so I'll just say that I think this is really cool, I dig ambient stuff like this. Pretty original concept too. Could perhaps be a bit longer. Once it had finished I was left wanting it to carry on. With ambient stuff like this you can get away with abusing sections longer than you usually would I'd say.

    EDIT: You could also smash the words in the title together to make "Sinsurance"! :D

    Ristar has some good music, though I can't recognize the original melodies in your tune. Instead, this sounds like something one would hear from The Little Mermaid.

    LOL, when you put it that way... Yeah, it's pretty lame... >_<

    I have been trying to listen to music from different cultures lately and I found some links to calypso on youtube, so I thought I'd try and do something different for my first remix. Evidently it was a failsome idea.

    Uh... Is there no way to delete threads? o_o

    EDIT: The original themes don't really start appearing until half way.

    This is less of a serious post and more of a plea for help. This is my very first remix, so basically there's about 100 things sucky about it that can be pointed out within the first 10 seconds, but I have to start somewhere, right?

    I was about to just give up with this entirely but I thought it wouldn't hurt to post what I have here and see if far more talented people than me can give some strong suggestions on improving it, and hopefully get the ball rolling again for me. I'll take advice on absolutely anything as there's definitely a lot to complain about.

    Oh, and don't be afraid to really dig into me. I need hard criticism to have any chance of getting better. ;P

    I'm relatively happy with the first 30 seconds surprisingly. The first transition is where the real suckiness comes in and it's pretty bad from there on. All the transitions are pretty bad and too abrupt. There's really isn't much going on throughout 0:36 - 1:45 because I can't find a good instrument to fit with the steel drums. Whilst I kinda like the sections starting at 1:45, I think it gets real cluttered and probably goes on for too long too.

    EDIT: Just noticed the mod review option so I thought I'd give that a go as I didn't get any criticism before, which I desperately need if I hope to get any better. Made a a fair amount of edits too and added version 2 which actually cuts out a lot of crap more so than adding anything.

    Oh God, this brought back horrible memoried of racing Wizpig thousands of times over. I still never beat him, I swear it's near enough impossible.

    Anyways, I quite liked the mix, real dark atmosphere and such and to counter hewhoisiam's comment about dissonant notes, I actually quite digged it and thought it fits here. To each their own I guess.

    ASIO4ALL - Headphone support?

    Hey, I've just been using Reaper for the first time today and I've set up ASIO4ALL just fine, but the problem is I can't seem to get any sound out of my headphones despite being a selectable option. The axiom 49 I'm using is definitely working, as are the headphones as they work fine with everything else.

    Also, if I set the output to the monitor then sounds comes out just fine. I've also got the headphones plugged directly into the front green port. Any ideas?

    EDIT: Ah, sorted it. Had to disable to headphones in the control panel so they could only be used by ASIO4ALL.
