  1. Wow...I've found some interesting songs by halfway browsing this thread. I can't go through them all when ya'll post full sites though haha...

    I saw this

My friend, PokeRemixStudio, has a lot of remixes on his YouTube account, same name. He got better after 2008.

There's also the four Cave Story Remix Albums (two projects, second one was three albums), with one song in the second project exceeding 29 minutes.

    Either way, there's a lot.

I agree. I haven't checked out the Cave Story stuff but I really like MOST of his Pokemon remixes. I thought I once read somewhere someone said he stuck too close to the source, but although I'm not a judge, I think this is pretty awesome

    Azalea Town Remix

OH and I like Duane and Brando's Final Fantasy rap. I don't think because of the language it would've made it on this site but I definitely think it was pretty original.

  2. haha...I didn't know this got posted later in the day. I think that was a cool idea though even if I missed it. Still I listened to this track on the album itself. Since Morning, Thinker was my first introduction to this, so I find myself liking that one more (sequel complex). But I like the way this one goes too, slowing it down and the vocals are wonderful...

  3. Wow I like what you did here. Sounds great while I'm STILL waiting to hear the Pokemon Album from here, this is some great work. Would be awesome if it did manage to get on site. You brought a lot more to this mix than the source had haha. Oh and as far as like a rule on original source, I think someone once did a remix of something that was only 8 seconds long (perhaps on the Jingle album or something around here). I'm no expert but I think there's more than enough variation going on here for it to work.

  4. There's a lot of music from the new Sonic games that I'd love to see remixes for but my current fascination are the Asian inspired ones like in Aquarium Park (from Sonic Colors) and Chun-Nan (from Sonic Unleashed)

Source: (they're not 15 minutes long, but its been looped to appear that way)

    Aquarium Park Act 1

    Aquarium Park Map

I included those just to show the different ways this track can be taken.

    And this is Chun Nan

And if someone was just bored, I wonder what someone from here could do. Perhaps a medley that changes tempo throughout the song like its changing acts. Or perhaps a combination of say Chun Nan night with Aquarium Park map (I'm not sure if that would work but if it did, I think it would sound cool).

As for genre, I have no particular requests. Any kind is fine I guess. Some people have even written lyrics for Aquarium Part Act 1 (in the comments) if someone wanted to try singing to it.

Well that's all I've got really.

  5. It's been awhile since I've been here. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't quoted while I was gone :D Though this has sort of turned into a Sonic 4 love/hate thread, I just wanna say I'll probably never play Sonic 4 because its a downloadable game anyway. I'll give colors a shot if I'm able.

What? That makes no sense. The complaint that some people have with Sonic 4 is that they have too much control over the game physics, and that makes it somehow unrealistic or 'weird'.

My point was that it was already unrealistic in the original Sonic games, so the complaint that it doesn't obey the normal laws is bogus because the entire topic entirely subjective. If you have a problem with too much control, then why don't you have a problem with unnatural changes in direction and momentum in jump physics for example?

I like that post. As far as what I've seen of that Sonic 4 video talking about the physics, anyone consider, maybe...just maybe Sonic got better shoes? Or finally learned to control his speed a little more since the third game?

I'm not joking about the shoes bit though. It's happened before.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic_Labyrinth

And for the record, I had fun with Sonic Unleashed (PS2). It wasn't perfect, but it was far more playable than Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Heroes in my opinion.

    I'M NOT ALONE AFTER ALL!

  6. Thanks for checking it out. I know it's a large chunk of hard drive space but hopefully you'll find it's worthwhile. :)

The built-in music player is part of Bandcamp's default service and you can use it to listen to the entire album (not just preview samples). It can also be streamed from an iPhone or iPad (i.e. doesn't use flash on mobile devices). Nifty!

I'm still streaming it lol. I'll be going to class soon but it seems worth the space :D

I don't have a iPhone or iPad but way to go on going the extra mile.
